Speed up Disc Transfer Rate (MP1 and MP2 will run fine without, MP3 experiences heavy FPS drops without this setting so this should be added to the wiki)
THIS FIXES EVERYTHING
Or at least the unplayably inconsistent framerate I had. haha
During the Meta Ridley fight it went down to 50~55fps, but that's totally bearable in comparison to how bad it ran before enabling this setting (single digits FPS).
The music got stuck afterwards, but saving and loading fixed that.
What I'm running is an i5 4690, 6GB RAM, HD 7870 on Dolphin version 4.0-5390 with dual core enabled in OpenGL (I didn't even noticed it changed to OpenGL for some reason).
EDIT:
OpenGL runs nearly flawlessly, but running it on DirectX gives huge slowdowns.
2.EDIT:
I also get the sound hangup with SuDTR enabled.
3.EDIT:
Unfortunately, the audio bug is much more severe as I first imagined, but it can actually turn into a plot stopper (until you have reloaded a save), since the audio of the AU can get stuck on your screen and you won't be able to interact with things anymore. I'm not sure if it's related, but Dolphin also wouldn't let me make any easy F12 screenshots (the folder stays empty).
Bryyo also seems to run MUCH worse, unless I changed some setting that made the game run worse, but I can't imagine that. The performance is actually much worse when I try to run it in full-screen on my second monitor.
