marcosvitali and me have developed a proper fix for the random hanging that occurs in some games. I think Metroid Prime 3 is one of the games that will be fixed. Before the fix can go into the official branch, it needs some testing first. Please test this build and mark it positive if it fixes the hanging issue for you.

I have managed to compensate for the lack of performance by moving Samus's aim at a speed that matches the FPS I get, and I have much less of a problem with the unresponsiveness as a result, but I do still have one major problem.
The twist function required for getting the infernal energy cells into their required areas does not work, even on the "texcache-rewrite" version, as the twist function itself does not trigger at all. When I try to get Samus to twist the cell into place, nothing happens. I have spent the last few weeks doing my nut as far as making the damn thing work goes, and searched all across these forums for any possible answers. It's driving me insane. Thankfully, this is the only problem left, as all of the other problems have now been solved. EDIT: For those that don't quite follow, this post refers to one that was made on the previous page in this thread some large number of weeks ago, can't remember exactly how long. Might be helpful to read the earlier post if that helps. 04-13-2012, 11:48 AM
How's the state of this game with current SVNs? Do you still need a 3-4GHz+ CPU or?
Q9550 @ 2.8GHz, GTX470, 4GB 800MHz, Win7 64-bit, Intel 320 SSD 120GB
Current build: 3.0 64-bit Current game(s): Metroid Prime 3 Corruption (random testing from time to time to see if any tweaks will help). 04-13-2012, 06:53 PM
Well, with my i7-2670QM i get about 45-60 FPS (depends on the room). I would say, that Metroid Prime 3 is still a demanding game

Has anyone gotten the gecko codes to work? I enabled all the power cell cheats, and none of them worked. I'd really just like to finish the game without having to go get them.

Maybe this code is broken? Or you have to modifiy some variables (e.g. YYY, XXX, ZZ)

This is weird I posted earlier that the grapple lasso was working, but I simply cannot remember the key combinations to get it to work ....
Did anyone else figure out how to do this on an emulated wiimote ? |
