Ok... So just a second here. This all raises lots of questions. The first of which: if PBR runs faster on the 3.0 release, why would someone make it slower on later builds. If its fully compatible on later builds and 3.0 but runs faster on 3.0. Why was something changed for it to run slower? Don't fix what isn't broken. Secondly, what makes one wii game compatible and not another? On a wii, you just put in the disc and play, why can't it be that way on dolphin? Just load the game and play? Why do we need 5 billion settings for each game? And thirdly, are there any GCN games that can't run at full speed on dolphin??
Why is the beast stuttering on Pokemon Battle Revolution?

A tiger looks like a cat but it will never become a cat
Same to emulator . Some games are playable , some games run slow on high-end rigs , some games are not playable at all Dolphin emu is not a wii . Seriously , buy a wii and save yourself from trouble Latest release improve compatibility in some games , some games gain speed up , some games run slower , some games are broken... we'll never know Laptop: Mini PC ::
I would buy a wii if it would play in HD and there was state save. I hate when games think I pressed the jump button for bragging rights. State save put an end to that. First time I discovered it and knew what it did. I was like MY GOD WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!!! So what games aren't playable at all, and why??

Quote:if PBR runs faster on the 3.0 release, why would someone make it slower on later builds? The aim of the emulator is not to be faster but to be more accurate for more games Quote:If its fully compatible on later builds and 3.0 but runs faster on 3.0. Why was something changed for it to run slower? The emulator wasn't made only for this game Quote:what makes one wii game compatible and not another? I'll let devs answer to you here Quote:Why do we need 5 billion settings for each game? A lot of games are playable with default ones Quote:are there any GCN games that can't run at full speed on dolphin? Call of Duty Finest Hour comes to my mind. Some other demanding ones such as Metroid Prime games. Depends of your system

Secondly, what makes one wii game compatible and not another? Both game A and B use feature X. Game A doesn't care if feature X's return value is off by one or two bits. Game B does. Fast emulation means only game A works properly while accurate emulation means both games work but A is slower than if we emulated feature X less accurate. Not implying anything about you ofc in this case. (06-27-2012, 01:21 AM)Cheer Wrote: Why do we need 5 billion settings for each game?Because people go mad if you remove one of them. Plus, if you don't add moaaaar settings, you end up sacrificing speed for accuracy even for games which don't need all features to be emulated perfectly. Even if some games aren't fully compatible, and emulation isnt perfect, its damn near close. I'm actually impressed myself with emulation, coming from someone who once asked "So how bout quad core supprt??" I know half the forum addresses that question. I finally got the answer on it after lengthy studies. But anyway, could my rig run finest hour and metroid prime at full speed
Hmmmm ok... Everyone on this thread have been very insightful to me. 5 teachers 1 student.... Lol.... So is there a compatibility list anywhere? And a speed/accuracy settings list for each game anywhere??? 06-27-2012, 01:56 AM
Quote:compatibility list anywhereHere Laptop: Mini PC :: Quote:So is there a compatibility list anywhere? You can use the "Wiki list" http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?ti...o_GameCube but it isn't always up-to-date. You can also read my thread for Dolphin 3.0 but it is an unofficial thread Quote:And a speed/accuracy settings list for each game anywhere??? Some games have their own thread on the forum. Use "Search" to find them

Hmmm ok... Well I want accuracy and speed. Yes, I am going to have my cake and eat it too... Anyone here an expert on overclocking?
I wanna overclock my 3930K. But I want to do it properly, not just the EZ OC in the bios. Right now shes running at 4.2 GHz stable. She gets too hot and/or fails intel burn test at 4.6. I want 4.8. motherboard: asrock extreme 6/GB cooler: noctua nh-d14. 06-27-2012, 02:16 AM
Not an OC expert (no time to test right now) but avoid EZ OC when you can. I've heard it raises voltages higher than is required. You'll get lower voltages for the same performance if you set it yourself.
