Let's hope someone is motivated enough for that task, the guys that created vgmstream (library for playing streamed audio) might be able to do it if they find the task worth the trouble. If some peoples go to their site: https://hcs64.com and start a thread about this they may get interested, or maybe they already tried it and figuring out that .samp format was complicated and not worth the trouble.

The other option is finding a hacky way to mute the .samp music from the gamecube in the emulator and using an external .dsf file from the dreamcast, this task could probably be achieved by the Dolphin developers but it will be very time consuming.

SICK, one of my buddies loves this game, I gotta tell 'em.

What's your method for replacing fontmaps? That was easily my most hated bit when I got to it.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean how did I replace the fonts in-game? I redrew the majority of them in GIMP so they match the original font since it's rather unique. This was a time consuming process but has a good result. Some whole word I used plain old Arial, italic text on the main menu is times new roman. For the arcadian language there is a font out there somewhere that we use.

Oooo, nice. I don't have the equipment to redraw fonts, so I had to space them all out individually in photoshop, like this; http://i.imgur.com/mLnlVEj.png

That's really cool that you straight up redrew them.

Yup! We really like to redraw everything, and I'm pretty sure everything we have done so far is completely redrawn except for a few temporary placeholders and the anime portraits, which still require a little touching up.

Please help guys. I'm using the latest Dolphin build "5.0-340" and I edit the game ini for EFBToTextureEnable to = True. But some textures are not loading, especially the UI textures. I even tried all backends and both DDS and PNG pack. Here's a picture to show you.[Image: GEAP8_P_2.png][Image: GEAP8_P_1.png]

The backend shouldn't matter, nor the texture format. What does matter is the "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" setting must be checked. Editing the ini and setting it to true will force this option, but if you open the graphics config and it's unchecked it will undo the override for that session.

I just tested out the latest build and these textures seem to be working for me. Which ini did you edit? If its an ini in the Documents\Dolphin\GameSettings folder that is the wrong one, it has to be the ini in the main dolphin folder or Dolphin-x64\Sys\GameSettings. Most of the textures that aren't working for you are part of that big texture that is problematic in EFB to RAM, but the magnifying lens and depth meter on the map screen is part of a different texture set. So I'm not sure why that one wouldn't be working unless there's a duplicate that I missed, this game does have a lot of textures that are almost the same but are a few pixels different.

If you can't get the issue resolved, will you dump those screens and send them to me? The easy way to get only the needed textures is this:
- uncheck load textures, dump textures, and prefetch textures
- load the game and get to the screen you want to dump
- save a state at the screen you want to dump
- check dump textures
- load the save state and the textures currently loaded will dump
- uncheck dump textures to prevent more dumps

Edit: Taking a closer look at your screenshot I can already see there are some differences between the USA and PAL versions which is lame. For example, "Party Sp." shows up as "Party Spirit" in the USA version, and the lowercase "a" and font spacing is also somewhat different. I'll see what I can do about this...
