You and I both trying the same thing at the same time, weird. I've gotten them to work, but unfortunately there are microstutters when loading textures, even when I move it all to my SSD! But that is another problem, I'm posting to help you with yours.thanks for the explination.. I think I did however get it working beffore i read your post but im not sure. i see the textures are working.i dunno if all of them are though.i dont no if everysingle texture has been replyaced in this game. i extracted all the zips in the same folder in the order thay are posted on the link page.the only thing i overrighted was the OLD-NEW file the rest when it asked me to overright i just kept the orginals and continued to extract the rest.so there are more of 1 file with the same name...i then used that id converter thing and it did its thing. if this is ok il leave it otherwise i will try and do it again..but its painfully long.. as far as ur microstutter i would first try 3.5 as this build seems to run this game with no problems at all other then sound issues.unfortunatly there dosent seem to be a fix as far as i no but i maintain solid fps with no out of sync audio at dx9 3x 9xAA if u still get microsttuter i guess the other thing u could try is use a program like dxtory and lock the fps to 30 i no it worked partly for me with skyrim as i had this microstutter issue if i did not have this program running..worth a shot. This pack is amazing, but unfortunately some of the textures seem glitched up. Leon's neck really bugged me, so I tried fixing the texture and ended up with this:
Before 1 After 1 Before 2 After 2 If anyone wants to download the texture I can upload it, it's an amateurish job but it does look better to the point where the glitch isn't noticeable if you're not looking for it. I'd like to work some more on it but t's much harder to work with textures than I thought, I do not understand the logic of what part of the texture gets wrapped where at all. The alternative is to delete Leon's face texture from the folder completely; It doesn't really matter since you rarely see his face anyway, and his hair and clothing textures are the much more impressive ones. 02-12-2013, 11:43 AM

That seems pretty nit-picky. Who looks at the game that magnified to even notice that? Besides that, those images pass by the screen so fast that you don't have time to see that.

It's technically possible to fix any of the textures, but I'm sure as hell not doing it! Ashley's glitches don't seem to stand out as bad, I don't know if I'd bother with them. Again, deleting the glitched textures and reverting to the originals when you have to is the simplest solution. Resident Evil 4 was one of the best looking games on Gamecube, after all, using a few original textures here and there isn't so bad.

Small observation.
1. Texture RB4E08_9397aabc_14.png seems broken in archive /RB4E08 part 3 by hyperspeed.rar/. As result - some trees in dark rainy village (in chapter 2-2) are weird looking. This file can be deleted from your RB4E08 directory. 2. May be I installed pack incorrectly, not sure, but Leon's name in health bar is still blurry. I think it's because of missed texture RB4E08_b833f8e5_8. Here is one from PC HI-res pack Look at comparsion screens - big tree & health bar Before: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/1423/rb4e083.jpg After: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/5945/rb4e084.jpg 04-22-2013, 02:01 AM
Main menu theme.
Copy both textures from archive, it's important. http://www.mediafire.com/?jsr048ze8a8mbm3 |
