Could someone solve this? without using the law of sines, or the law of cosines. It was in my geometry test this Thursday and It really pissed me off not being able to solve it ( or , you know, being able to solve it using only geometry and special polygons )

...I don't know how I would solve that without using the law of sines. My immediate instinct was that law. It seems so perfect to say:
Root 2 is across from 30, so root 2 / 2 is across from 15 135 is the missing angle, and 135/15 = 9, so x=root 2 / 2 * 9 Of course that is all about law of sines in effect.

No, that question is unsolvable without trigonometry. Even if you do find a way, it will just be working out the law and then applying it, instead of just using it.
