It if happens with LLE it will happen with HLE. It's an unrelated bug. Please create an issue report on our bug tracker though.

OK so about xenoblade: I just went back to dolphin 3.5 and with LLE I heard the crackling there, but it was very VERY slight, a little less than new ax hle. So I went further back, and finally gave up at 3.0-797, which also had the crackling. This was all done with LLE and otherwise completely default dolphin settings. Obviously HLE worked back then because it was still the big hack that wasn't in sync with any other part of the emu.
So wherever this bug came from it's been there a while. If it's worth it I can keep going back further in time, or maybe I can grab a new wav file and we can just go from there. EDIT: normally I would not complain about such a minor thing, but we're kind of on the subject, so if a fix is do-able, I'll try to help. 04-02-2013, 12:17 PM
Just pushed 3.5-1127: fix EA Wii games (and maybe a few other games) having no music.
This might introduce bugs in other Wii games (because I implemented a lot of other stuff as well to fix this), so please test it as much as possible. Could someone try to reproduce the Fatal Frame 4 bug mentioned earlier with this version of Dolphin? I guess it should be fixed, but I'm not 100% sure. 04-02-2013, 12:38 PM

Good work delroth! Bad news though: tried Xenoblade on 3.5-1127 and the crackling is still there. 04-02-2013, 02:43 PM

With frame limit set to audio the music is indistinguishable from using LLE, except that volume is a few clicks louder, and listening to the music coming out of a real wii. None of those three sound as good as the youtube OST link you posted. Actually those pops and crackles are in LLE as well they are just barely noticeable and also fixed the same way. I figured that issue with delroth help - I am ashamed to admit it was issue with my speakers and I was not aware of it Which is really strange, since right speaker is not completely dead or I would have noticed it, it just doesnt seem to produce correct sounds for some reason. They are 5.1 speakers with amplifier, so probably something is wrong there. And you are right, it seems audio framelimit is much better option to use to get perfect sound. As for why it still doesn't sound as good as OST music, I don't know. If OST is not enhanced, it should sound the same, correct ? 04-03-2013, 01:28 AM

Grr, ok I'll repeat the experiment tonight. So to recap, LLE with real wii rom's, and frame limit audio. Anything else? With default settings 3.5 also had the same issue. With audio framelimit it seems fine, atleast on my pc. On latest dolphin, I couldnt get it to sound fine no metter what, I tried all kind of different setting including audio framelimit of course
In Skies of Arcadia LEGENDS, some of the music notes get cut/shortened while walking around but sounds fine while standing still, is this a known issue yet? ill try getting it into the bug tracker but im not sure what kind of info is needed besides the obvious ones(specs, dolphin revision, etc.)
