@ Ocean: those are basically my settings, except for the FPS limiter which I have set to 60 (which it doesn't come close to, FPS or VPS). Just to be sure I switched it off just now, doesn't have any effect. And yes, obviously I have audio throttle switched off as well. I also tried frame skipping, thinking my video card might not be able to handle it, but also to no avail. Really, the i3 530 isn't fast enough for this game at this point, maybe in a year or so after Dolphin has progressed some more. And I'm not even talking about a fully unlocked Hyrule field... you don't even wanna know what kind of FPS I get there. Ever heard of stop-motion?
FYI, the i3 530 is running at 2.93GHz and I have an ATI Radeon 5450 with 1GB of memory. I'm using Spellforce's R5135 x64 build optimized for SSE4.2, because that one seems to work the best for most games I'm playing. haven't tried anything from before R4xxx yet though, some people say those can be quite fast for some games... would you say I should try those?
