Hey! I'm new with dolphin and I really want some help with the setup of super Mario sunshine! I get it to work but not as i want. It's kinda laggy... My specs are, Asus geforce Gtx 669, 3570k 4,2 ghz and 8 gb ram. Can any of you post the best setup? Off course I want to play on as high resolution as possible Smile thanks

An i5-3570K OCed to 4.2 GHz and you're still getting lag? Sounds like something's up with your configuration. You can use the speed settings posted here as a base. Tell us if these settings run the game fine. If so, then you can gradually start increasing settings to improve the graphics. Also, note that Super Mario Sunshine is a 30 FPS game, so it's playing at fullspeed if that's what you're getting.

Another thing to point out is that maxing out the IR and AA can quickly turn your GPU into your system's bottleneck, even with a GTX 690. SSAA with the DX9 backend, for example, is very demanding when set to 9x and increasing the IR.

I have same hardare: 3570k and gtx660. With max graphicall settings (4x16x16) and disabled framelimiter this game shows 70-90 VPS.
CPU automatically overclocks to 3600 MHz.
GPU to ~1100 MHz.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX660 (proprietary nvidia driver v.358.16)
RAM: 2 x 4G DDR3 1333 MHz
OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64 (linux 4.3)
I'm using latest version of Dolphin-emu from git master branch.

The OpenGL backend in Dolphin uses MSAA for AA; that will be nowhere near as demanding as the SSAA the DX9 backend uses, especially when maxed out with high IRs. It's still important to make sure the OP's graphical settings aren't creating a bottleneck on the GPU. This is, of course, assuming the OP is using DX9, but none of the settings has been given yet.
