Settings for best speed (Unofficial)
**This is outdated, links removed **
At a glance you should just match your settings with the screenshots settings. There are also some explanations of what some options do. This is still WIP. RE: Settings for best speed
Thank you SS. Now sticky this.
I do think some of the pictures could use a note. For example, at the 3rd picture, having Skip EFB Access from CPU ticked could cause some issues with games. Download Dolphin from the official website

RE: Settings for best speed
Yeah, I'll try to add some notes about some options in time, though these settings are for speed and it was already mentioned that not all games or functionality will work. Most importantly this can be linked to when telling others what to use.

Is fast mipmaps really slower than other mipmaps? If so, then the tooltip, and in fact name, should be changed.

RE: Settings for best speed (Unofficial)
Fast mips is not any faster as far as I know, but it causes game issues and should be disabled. Hopefully it'll be removed soon.

What about the disable per-pixel depth hack? I have noticed it reduces fps when unchecked, though I haven't had the chance to try it recently.

RE: Settings for best speed (Unofficial)
Not enough to make a difference in my opinion, and it makes a few games work properly. To me it's one of those settings that is on the edge of speed and accuracy and the accuracy is worth more than whatever small speed-up you may gain by disabling it.

RE: Settings for best speed (Unofficial)
Well I would certanly add vbeam to this list,it provides speedup in about 50% games I tried.
In some games,it provides huge speedup, especially gamecube games. For example skies of arcadia is unplayble without it even with overclocked sandy |
