Not exactly true. OpenGL is faster for Vertex Loading and such. D3D is usually faster on EFB2RAM stuff. NVIDIA has a huge OpenGL bias, and AMD has a D3D Bias.

Hey guys, I'm using Dolphin 4.0-3587 on my 15" rMBP. My macbook is the lowest-end of the newer 2014 models (http://www.apple.com/mac/compare/notebooks.html ) One of the issues I'm having is when running Twilight Princess, I get weird textures for water (shown below). I have default settings from installing dolphin, so I haven't done anything to cause glitches. Any ideas what could be going on?
http://i.imgur.com/qxTaKfJ.jpg EDIT: Saw from the previous couple pages that this is a common issue with the current version of dolphin, I'll try an earlier version where this wasn't an issue. 11-01-2014, 05:15 PM

No, he's saying that TP, which was made to run on a Wii/GC, is different from a game designed to run on a PC. TP was designed to run a at max of 30 fps on the Wii/GC, and Dolphin emulates that perfectly. No, as pointed out above, 30 fps is what it was built to run at natively on the GC/Wii 11-03-2014, 05:34 AM
