Hi guys, any of you know what parts of the game are covered by the Hypatia's HD texture mod as of today? I just started playing the game and everything looks amazing but I'm afraid some parts of the game won't be this beautiful. Is it very noticeable in comparison to the parts where the HD textures aren't available?

Hope this helps. I've managed to find a post of his just recently.. "Just part of it is done at the moment (boo hiss). It’s slowly coming together but honestly you’d be waiting a while. It currently covers Outset Island, the Pirate ship, Forsaken Fortress and the outside of Windfall. There’s also a bunch of the inside of Windfall done, a bunch of Hyrule done. Various islands on the Great Sea are also done to different degrees (some are basically finished, others have like… one texture changed). Most of the HUD is done and most of the effects (like fire or smoke) are done. Most of the characters on the major islands I just mentioned (plus most of the enemies) are done too. And thank you very much, it’s honestly great to know people like my work and.. like to the point of wanting to give me money?? kinda mindblowing tbh I mean I’ve thought about putting up a donate button but.. idk, maybe when I change my theme?" 10-07-2013, 12:21 PM
I am currently having a problem right after The Forsaken Fortress. Link gets thrown in to the water and when the King of the Lions takes me to get a sail I get off the boat and it just starts a loop where he asks me if I have a sail and then says to hurry up. It just keeps looping that question and doesn't let me try and go get the sail. The first time I tried this I had used AR codes for cheats just to see how they would work. I had used the "Have sail" cheat and thought that could be the problem. so I deleted the save and tried again without using that cheat but while using other cheats. I still had the looping problem. I am on my 3rd save and am going to try again without any cheats and see if it happens again. Thought I would ask if anyone knew what was causing the question to just keep looping in case I get to that point and a fresh save with no cheats has the same problem. Thanks for any help.
EDIT: A clean save with no cheats worked. not sure what they did but I am going to leave this here in case someone has the same problem they will know what to do. 10-09-2013, 12:20 AM
Hello everyone, it seems I never created an account in the forum :/ So, "first post".
I've been playing WW for almost a year with some Dolphin 3.x revisions, everything fine. Months passed by, I finally got time to spare and play again, and it seems the performance in 4.0-164 is poor or I configured something wrong. No matter the resolution nor the render mode I set (DirectX/OpenGL), the game stutters and FPS go from 15 to 25fps all the time. Audio included. I was getting ~40FPS on the 3.x branch, and the internal resolution I set had some influence in the FPS. Not the case anymore. I've followed the performance guidelines for this game just in case I missed something, but everything is set as in the wiki page. My computer is running Windows 7 (64bits) on a AMD Phenom II X6 at 3.3GHz with 8GB of RAM and a ATI Radeon HD 7850 with 2GB of GDDR5 with multiple monitors setup (5760x1080). Any ideas? Thanks! 10-09-2013, 03:09 AM
I do know that the newer revisions have been noted as slower when compared to older revs. I have never experienced this myself mind you. With a monitor setup like that. Is it possible to test with just one monitor to see if it is indeed a GPU limit? Forgive me if that is ignorant. I only have one monitor

Sorry to jump in with a question in the middle of a conversation.
But I want to know if this game's compatibility improved. Before, on the 3.x builds the game required the use of LLE audio to get through cutscenes, that would otherwise freeze up on HLE. But the game's performance would be terrible when using LLE, and it would be unforgiving to beat a boss, just to have the game freeze up. You couldn't use a savestate from HLE, on LLE so you'd have no choice but to start over. One time while playing in HLE in the Earth temple, the game just crashed. Had to start all over :3 I've seen somethings about Dolphin having better audio, stated in the 4.0 changes. Does this mean that the lockups don't occur on the 4.0 builds? Or is this game still plagued by that one flaw?

Some folks have said they still experience them recently. I believe the issue is with the Zelda ucode that has yet to be rewritten.

Maybe I'm mistaken but at least my experience has been bad. I only have one monitor I'll try just in case, but I've had this setup for two years without problems. It's really odd! 10-09-2013, 07:20 AM

By default, the emulator sets the DSP to LLE. And this time, the emulator came with it's own LLE DSP, which I replaced with my own. I'm wondering if I should use my own dumped DSP, or the one included with Dolphin. As for the performance with LLE, the game seems to run fine, even while sailing. It did slow down when I was fighting a ton of enemies at once. And the audio seems to be out of place. At least the game is playable on LLE, so I wouldn't have to switch back and forth between HLE and LLE like before. Should I only use LLE for Zelda The Wind Waker? Or is it recommended for other games? Other games run perfect in HLE, with no freezing problems like Zelda has. Thanks for the reply btw
