Could someone post some fully working configs on this game? I can't make it both fast and still keep the textures close to the original graphics.

4 days and I still haven't found any better configs. Still graphical glitches. If just one of you that have fully working configs could post screens of them I would be grateful I know about "Copy EFB to RAM" but that didn't fix it completely :/

There is no way to completely fix Mario Sunshine on Dolphin at this time. On the one hand, you can use Copy EFB to texture and gain great speed but have the pollution impossible to clean up (it disappears properly and appears to function perfectly, but it is still there and hurts you, also breaking gameplay). On the other hand, you can enable Copy EFB to RAM, kill your speed, but slightly fix the sludge. I say slightly because it by no means fixes it, but rather kind of hacks it. It makes the sludge cleanable, but it will randomly move and disappear like it isn't supposed to. It basically fixes one thing and breaks two other things. Plus it cuts your speed in about half.
So wait, there's not any way to play this game perfectly right now. Double posting isn't going to get you any help either. Wait for a fix, which may or may not ever happen. 04-28-2010, 07:46 AM
Am I wrong or in some older builds of dolphin it was implemented a hack that made possible to control the camera in Super mario Sunshine with the mouse?

Super Mario is my favorite game. The game is easy enough for beginners to grasp, and challenging enough to be enjoyable months out of the box. Super Mario Sunshine features bright, colourful eye candy, responsive controls, and old fashioned gaming that may be rivalled, but never surpassed by any other title available.

I think they might have partially fixed this game with Copy EFB to RAM now, been trying newest revisions and the slime mostly works (though sometimes part of it will just randomly disappear).
In other news though, limiting the framerate makes it go far slower than it should. If i set the framelimit to auto, it goes at about 20-25 frames per second. Same goes when i set it to 30 or so. But when i set it to something like 80, it actually goes full speed, sometimes more. This game will not run at more than 30FPS, but it's weird that it slows the game down to set it at the default rate. I think the frame limiter is broken somehow with this game. Might have something to do with the music timing... Point is though, i can't get it to run at the correct speed constantly. It is not my specs though, as turning the limiter off makes it go FASTER than normal. 05-01-2010, 04:20 PM
Forgive me if this has already been answered, but this is a big thread. I'm playing this on Dolphin 2.0 and it works out great..... except for one thing. At some point during the game, always kinda random as to when it happens, the graphics will freeze, but the music will countinue. It happens whether I use the GL or the 3D9 graphics plug-in. It usually occurs after about 3 or 4 minutes, but today it lasted for 15 minutes before locking up, giving me a chance to finally get the square cleaned up.
Running Indel dual core 2.3GHz with 1GB ran on Nvidia Geforce 7300 graphics adapter. Running Windows XP 32-bit. Graphics drivers are up to date as in Direct X Enable CPU ->EFB access is checked, as is Enable EFB copy in the advanced tab.
this game runs at a steady 20-30 fps with r5424 dx9 gpu plugin. I have EFB -> RAM on as well as CPU-> EFB acccess, and the goop functions perfectly, the only problems I have with this game are a few graphical hiccups (see screenshot) and occasional crashes (but I'm using an SVN anyway so It's expected.)
rig is x86 (32bit) win xp pro SP3, intel core 2 duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz with EVGA NVidia 8800 GT 512 mb with 2 gb of DDR2 ram. the screenshot above shows the messed up water transparency issue, which seems to be the only obvious flaw. 05-03-2010, 06:09 AM
I have a really strange problem with SMS (PAL), on Dolphin 2.0 (64 bit): when I start playing the game, the emulator says Speed: 100%, VPS: 50 (or 60 when I select 60 Hz mode), yet the FPS doesn't rise over 18. The effect of this is that the game runs at 75% of the speed. I have EFB to RAM enabled etc., so my configuration should be optimal.
I'm running an Intel i5 M430 @ 2,26 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 512 mb. Any idea what is causing this weird behaviour?
hi guys!
I play this game and my problem is in the Yoshi's fruit adventure mission. Yoshi egg missing! I try Dolphin 2.0 rc1 and svn 4897x64 i think this is the best revision from this game! How can i fix this problem? |
