Hey guys, I've just started this game. Normally, when using FLUDD, you only remain stationary with the R button clicked down all the way. I'm having some issues with this, as it seems FLUDD will not even begin shooting water until the button is clicked. Adjusting the threshold on the R/L controls seems to have allowed FLUDD to squirt immediately, but Mario still cannot run around. Has this been a common problem and what is the solution?

In the controller settings, make sure that R-Analog is mapped, not just R. This is fairly common to miss. 04-29-2016, 08:48 AM

Hopefully not a dumb followup question, but when I'm mapping the analogs, do I gently push? Or push all the way down? Edit: A moment of tinkering with it and I'm happy with the results. Thanks for your help!
Welp looks like I'm also cursed by the broken goop here too it keeps disappearing instantly or sliding all of the place its almost like a cheat does it detriment completion of the game in anyway?
I can see why people don't like this mario game for sure, its so different from 64 and galaxy. Edit: Alright I figured it out the widescreen gecko code on the wiki causes the bug. 06-05-2016, 09:56 AM
Hey, is there any way to disable the heatwave effect completely, or at least weaken it? It's a bit straining on my eyes to look at and makes me question whether or not my glasses are on my face.... I've fixed all the other issues with the heatwave effect to try and make it playable, but that didn't help it stop hurting my eyes. Any help would be appreciated! The picture doesn't capture the issue I'm having *that* well, but I hope it gets the message through.

Thankyou so much! That has made this game actually playable for me. You must share my hatred for heat-wave effects.

so the blooper surfing one is really getting to me. I look at videos online, and everyone seems to be going twice as fast as I am. I takes me 10 seconds just to get to the 2nd turn where the red buoys are. I can't complete this course under 1:20 and thats with me jumping over the lanes to bypass the tight turns. I am playing this on an xbox1 controller, and all buttons (including triggers, shoulder, and analog L/R) are correctly mapped. I can gain a little bit of speed by moving the thumbstick forward, but not much. Green/Yellow/Pink doesnt matter.
why am i going so slow?

Are you using the 60fps hack? For some reason it doubles the timer speed, so for shine sprite that uses a timer function you have to disable it or know a trick to do it faster. Also how fast is your emulation speed? So it might not be that you're slow, just the timer is too fast. Also, just a tip, go with the yellow; it provides pretty balanced speed/handling. I've generally found that the 60fps hack is more trouble than it's worth, but it's just so beautiful so I can't give it up. ;-;

oh shit, thanks man, that sounds like it could work. i do have the 60 fps hack on there, and my game speed is set to 120%
