A better CPU. Yours is a bit weak. Especially for this game

I had the same problem with directx plugin, but I changed to opengl and then the game runs well.

If you can't fix it, you should play with a psx emulator or the pc game.

Hello people.

Apprently Resident Evil 2 doesn't have many issues, But I have run into one using Dolphin 4.

I seem to get these weird lines across the whole screen, it only happens in some areas but is a real off put.

I can't really list my settings as I have tried so many combinations now that I have no idea which ones I have tried / not tried.

Any solution to this?

Have you tried using one of the development builds on https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ ? If not, how about changing your internal resolution in the graphics configuration dialog to 1xnative?

You have to turn off force texture setting always for these games to get rid of the sprite boxes and have anti-aliasing turned down to 1 unless you are running dx9 or opengl

Using the most recent version of Dolphin I am having an issue where the polygons flicker erratically on the overlapping joints of the 3d models. This happens with both the Direct X and OpenGL backends. It's especially apparent when the models are further away from the camera.

After downloading various older builds I was able to pinpoint where the problem could have possibly started, version 3.5-555.

The version before this one, 3.5-548, works just fine with the exact same settings. Yes, the overlapping polygons aren't as clean as I would like them to be, but they aren't nearly as noticeable as the flickering created by subsequent versions of Dolphin. Too bad this version still has the audio problem that wasn't fixed until 3.5-644.

I hope the right people will see this thread and be able to decipher what changed in the code that caused the graphics in RE2 to go loopy, and more importantly, how to fix it.

If there's any possibility that the problem is on my end, I would be most grateful if someone could help me find the solution. Thanks.

Edit: Found out Dolphin 3.5 stable version has these artifacts as well, so I tested to see where the "FIX" was introduced before 3.5-555. I found it to be Dolphin 3.5-147.
But the only changes listed are comments... I don't get it. Hopefully somebody will.

I have figured how to get rid of the sprite boxes and that was my only problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccI89VZyTTU&list=PLqSkIg9GSVwEZA7iNyS94qIB4TqIbAz0d

Do you know what version of Dolphin you are using in the video?
