And make sure you got "Safe Texture Cache" turned on Smile

I play both MP1 and 2, I have it on otherwise the text is bad Tongue

EDIT: just tried it and it crashed again, while trying to morph, just after I set the bomb to activate the scanner at the very beginning, and you first run into the dark stuff taking over the guys and making them come alive. Seems to be very similar to the MP1 crashing at random and lagging when switching between visors and morphing/unmorphing.

I found that disabling dual core SEEMS to help this issue somewhat... I've still had it blink off without warning (so having save states helps a lot). I tried it with "interpreter" instead of JIT with dual core, and to give you an idea, it was still very flakey (crashing in slow motion, gotta love it)
Core2 Q6600 @3GHz, 8Gig DDR2-800, Nvidia 9800GTX@700MHz, PCI Express 2.0, Vista Ulti x64, and more HDD then I can count

So the music and sound effects in this game are messed up pretty bad. Half the time the sound just cuts out. But it just seems like it's looping something that shouldn't be looped and because of that it's overwriting or interrupting all other sound that's getting processed.

For example, if you start the game up, it plays the music for a second, then basically pauses the music to play the sound of the menu moving. If you let the menu sit stationary, the music starts up EXACTLY where it left off.

Fixing this would most likely fix the most of the sound issues because it will allow it to play multiple samples at once, and not interrupt the sound stream for a "new" sound. It would probably help with the crashing too, because it seems like sounds are getting "back-queued" so much and it fills the code cache with audio samples that are waiting to be processed. And it seems like the game seems to crash more when it's clearing code cache.

My logic could be off a little here, but again, it seems like it can read the sound just fine, but it doesn't seem to be processing it correctly. There have been times when I load a saved game then in like the next room, I'll hear "enter samus" music that plays when you first load up a saved game, but it's like way after the fact and in a completely different room. It repeats like music should, but seems to be playing "as" another sound, cause like I'll get close to a "random" area of the room and I'll hear it more clearly or from the left or right depending on where I stand and which direction I face.

But anyways, I was hoping to get a little insight on this.. I'm not too bad with code, I understand the basics and I can follow code. But I don't know the way sound gets processed, I'd love to see if I could play with this and see if I could get it working properly... Does anyone have any documents on the way the sound processing works here?

Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz
GF8800GT 512Mb
4Gb 1600mhz ram
Windows XP pro 64-bit

But it is extremely slow, 9FPS.

Using revision R2807 Win64 version. (Not JIT version)
Using default settings + Dual core support, use safe texture cache, Copy EFB to system RAM.

Any ideas why this is so slow? Ive read that many with lesser specs get +50FPS.
Dude, lowest system I've tried theese two was AMD 64 3200+ @ 2.3GHz 2GB RAM Geforce 7800GTX and it's about 15-20 FPS average so I can see 3 possibilities,
1. U got something really messed up in system (not installed any graphics drivers or broken CPU or other hardware part)
2. U're lying bout your hardware specs
3. Intel Quad Core CPUs are much weaker than I thought.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes freezes during opening credits and does not even go ingame. I've tried it on older revisions and it works. Is there some way to fix this like certain settings?

yeah, the games becomes too slow using the efb copy to ram, sounds are buggy, and it only works proper with the njoy 0.4, theres a bug with the njoy 0.3

game runs full 60 fps without the efb copy turned on, but crashes due to the DSP whos caching things wrongly, but i still think those problems is JIT related.

And I'm tellin ya it's only crappy intel cpus, I've tried this game on few configs with AMD cpus and even on old single core Athlon 64 U can easly get average of 20 fps in high resolution and antialias and other things that makes the game looks better than on GC, if U got some good graphics card, lets say Radeon 2-series or better of course. On fastest Athlons X2 and Phenoms U can even reach fullspeed.

Hi, on my computer speed is great. I'm running on a Phenom X4 2.4GHz and a geforce 8800GT. However I can't get the scan to work... even with EFB copy to RAM... hakunushi where did you get njoy v0.4?

I'm using Dolphin SVN R 3402, turned on EFB copy to RAM and safe texture cache

Thanks
