You need to enable safe texture cache for the game to not crash randomly. You won't get good speed in that game though. Try changing the EFB settings in graphics configuration.

ok so in the older versions the scan visor would go white...but in the newer versions it comes out just fine except nothing appears to be scannable at all...nothing will scan

is there any fix to this??

It's a known issue. Just use older builds until this gets fixed.

Hello friends of the forum ;D

A long time follow the progress of the emulator and I love how the emulator is evolving

I am fanatical throughout Metroid series, but the Prime series is the best *-*

the only chance I had to play the gamecube Metroid prime was thanks to you who are very committed to each build

good, for friends who are not able to scan the work, try the following:

- in Advanced options in the GFX, disable the Disable Destination Alpha Pass if enabled, it prevents the scan function in overlayed textures, which is what happens throughout the entire MP2
- Enable Copy RAM to EFB
- sometimes you must restart the game for the scan function 100%

there is a hint for those who need =]

Now I have a request to developers if possible:

- I would like an hotkey to the option "Disable Destination Alpha Pass" to the game can run faster when disabled and so I can scan objects as enabled

Thank you all, I am eternally grateful for the privilege to play the game that I love so much without the console! =]

PS: sorry for my english, I'm Brazilian and I don't have total mastery of the language =P

BTW this isn't a new issue its been there since the beginning, but when you start playing Single Player and the Intro plays and it goes through the tracking planet thing and you get struck but lightning and crash through the cave, the graphics are kinda messed up, for me anyway. There seems to be an Overlay the background of land and sky Interlaced into the whole tracking and planet scene. I'm just curious as to why this isnt fixed, or what is causing it. And before anybody asks yes i did all the necessary things to play MP2... Safe Textures and all that other stuff.
Core2Quad Q6700@2600MHz / Asus P5QL-VM DO / 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM / Geforce 8800GTS (G92-512MB) / X-Fi XtremeMusic / Win7 Pro 64bit / Ps2 controllers for GC and 2 Real Nintendo WiiMotes for the Wii

Latest revision, 3850. Set frame skipper to 1 or higher (Depending on how good your PC is), enable dual core and safe texture cache.

40 fps? That's not bad, i was wondering if Metroid Prime 2 runs better on Dolphin than Metroid Prime?, and does using an way older revision of Dolphin really gives a FPS boost?

So far i haven't played Metroid Prime because im getting 10 FPS at the beginning of the game, does it only happens in that area?
