Hi there. I've tried metroid prime in my 3d monitor with dolphin 3.5-395 and the graphics in 3d really rocks... but I can't make the sound work. Not even with LLE sound.
So, I thought, in order to make the emulator work in 3d, I have to use the program Tridef 3d, and run the emulator from there. The program states that it can run ANY direct3d 9, 10 or 11 in 3d. And, so far, it did. Now, the only way I've found to play Metroid Prime 1 properly was to use version 4798 with a little more recent video plugin. Like that, it rocks. But, the Tridef doesn't make the 3d trick. I start the emulator from Tridef 3d, and when it starts, it says that it's working, but it's not. There isn't any kind of error, the emulator just looks normal, except that it's extremely slow. EXTREMELY slow. So, the question would be: Even if the version of the emulator I'm using doesn't have 3d vision (4798 clearly hasn't), shouldn't the Tridef 3d make it work anyway? I AM using the direct3d9 plugin. Or, if the emulator is old, there's no way to make it 3d?

What monitor do you have and how were you using 3d before?

There, I just have to put the game I want to play in 3d in the menu, and start it from there. I haven't found any other way to use the 3d vision in the games, the one that comes with nvidia doesn't work, or at least, I couldn't make it work so far; I have a GeForce N560GTX. I tried pressing Ctrl+T in game, but the 3d doesn't activate. I also activated it in the nvidia panel, and it shows that it's activated, but it doesn't work.

Just a heads up, Ctrl-T is already known to no longer work. Does 3D (with your tridef and with nVidia's stuff) work in 3.5?

I've already played Metroid Prime 3 with 3d with marvelous results. The only thing to keep in mind is that the game MUST be launched from the Tridef 3d application, it MUST have selected the 3d vision enhancement, and it must NOT be selected the Fullscreen option, otherwise the 3d doesn't work. Also, this way, I can't activate any other enhancement, I can only select internal resolution the size of the window, but with any graphic filtering I activate, the 3d doesn't work. The only way around this I've found is to activate the filterings from the Nvidia control panel, selecting in 3d configuration, the exe of the dolphin I use (in this case, version 3.5-395). That way, the 3d works like a charm, and I still get excellent graphics. What I don't get is, if the Tridef 3d program can make 3d vision in any game that uses Direct3d 9, 10 or 11, why doesn't the program work with previous versions of the emulator, even if they don't have the 3d vision enhancement? Edit: I've red somewhere in the nvidia homepage that they introduced big changes in the latest 3d stereocopic drivers. In my case, for example, I can't control the depth of the 3d (I believe the depth is also referred as offset). The only way to do it is if the game already has this option, but only a few games have it.

My point is that the only program that use directx that didn't work with Tridef 3d was the pcsx2 emulator, because, even using directx, the kind of technology it uses disables the possibility of knowing where the z-axis is. Is this the problem with the previous versions of the emulator?
