In the site feedback forum, in thread "Forum member list", I noticed that users were creating useless posts even after the thread was answered. I already got the answer to my questions but other users posted useless details.
What would you think about having No Posting After Thread Is Answered Unless It Add Something Better. Or maybe add this for clarity.
If people start posting totally irrelevant material that's not even in the slightest related to the topic, we consider that Off-Topic talk and is already covered by the rules.
As Admentus said, there isn't always a good way to determine if a thread has been "answered" and even then, the discussion doesn't need to end there. While the original question may have been satisfied, other may still have something worthwhile to say, or the discussion could evolve even after the original question has been answered.
