Atom tablets are weak for dolphin, even if you could use x64 i doubt you could have playable speeds.
Atom tablets are basically as fast as the ARM tablets, so I don't see the issue. ARM Devices aren't at playable speeds either, and we still use those. Any ES 3.0 capable Atom also has x64 capabilities after a 5.0 update. Remember, this is an android thread, not a desktop thread, so it requires an adjustment in perspective. Atom's are relatively powerful in the mobile space.

All the devs need to do is make a x86 JIT Recompiler for intel devices so the games will run faster and better! 03-28-2015, 10:02 AM

I managed to get Android-x86 5.1-rc1 EFI image (64-bit OS) installed onto my 64gb usb stick with rufus-2.6 "same T420 i5 laptop",
Two partitions split across the stick Partition 1 : FAT/16? - 449MB - (Android-x86) - Made by Rufus. Partition 2 : Ext4 - 56GB - (android/system) - Formatted with MiniTool Partition Wizard Free, Formatting in EXT3/4 allows you to get the full storage of the partition instead of the 2GB limit, the Android-x86 installer can do this also but it 's buggy and can hang and it doesn't really show you the formatting progress / percentage, I allowed the installer to install to this partition using the "do no format" option. I couldn't get Dolphin to run it kept crashing as soon as I opened the app. uoYabause - Worked fine but I had to use the interpreter, dynamic recompiler just crashes it. Reicast - Worked fine, no problems. Android-x86 5.1-rc1 EFI image (64-bit OS) in comparsion to the 32-bit version has alot of lag and crashes apps all the time. The 32-bit version was running miles faster for me and was stable no app crashes, excluding Dolphin and is limited to 3GB ram, my full 4GB showed up in the 64-bit version. This could however been because I was running the 32-bit version as LIVE from a single FAT32 partition installed with LiLi USB Creator instead, I never tried shrinking the FAT32 partiton and making a EXT4 partition for the installation. 01-08-2016, 05:07 PM
I got the playstore version working with the 32-bit OS,
I had to enable "apps compatibility" under settings says something about native bridge and ARM libraries. OpenGLES mode only had sound no picture, software mode had both sound and picture, might be a problem with intels mesa driver, I'll retry the 64-bit OS this weekend with one of the latest dev builds. 01-08-2016, 11:05 PM

You are wasting your time.
Dolphin's JIT needs to be written specifically for the architecture of the processor you have. There is a very mature JIT for x86_64, and the good news is that maturity should largely carry over to android once the PIE thing is resolved. However, until there is a real android device that supports x86_64, there is no reason to do this, and so it won't be done. It requires solid OpenGL support, so even once the architecture is supported, you'll still need a real device. 01-09-2016, 12:15 AM
Good luck, PIE support isn't that far away. IIRC it was only removed because of issues when it was *disabled*: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/2605
