I noticed that the picture when playing at 1XIR on a 1080p PC monitor is very sharp. The picture is made with square blocks.

When emulating the N64 either with RetroArch or simple64, and playing in fullscreen, the picture is made with unequal rectangles: 2x3 blocks, 2x4, 2x5, 3x4, 4x3, 3x2, etc...

I'm not really knowledgable, but I read the nearest neighbour scaling could result in weird scaling like the one I'm getting on N64 emulator...

I prefer what I'm getting with Dolphin. What is Dolphin doing?
Dolphin is using bilinear filtering. I'm not sure how that would result in square blocks.

Thanks!
Sorry... I should have said "pixels"... Tongue (Simple64 is the one with blocks made with more than one pixel.)
