Full Version: Extracting Models from 64-bit Dolphin

Hey guys,

I was so happy to hear support for Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike was finally implemented to the point of playability. Of course, I have the games on disc and I don't mind playing them that way, but emulator support opens up new possibilities. One of those possibilities is extracting models from the game. There are a few models I'd like from Rebel Strike especially, such as the TIE Hunter, the APC, the missile submarine, the missile drone, etc.. Even if the game has slowdown, I have no problem getting there. The problem has turned out to be extracting them. I've tried the following methods:

1) Extract the BRRES and convert the models: The games don't use BRRES format.
2) 3DRipperDX: Great program, but unfortunately it won't launch the 64-bit versions of Dolphin. Since Rebel Strike isn't supported by any 32-bit versions and it seems support for 32-bit has been dropped, there is no way to rip using this program.
3) NinjaRipper: Another DX extractor. Unfortunately, it won't output anything when used for Dolphin. I'm not the only one who has had this issue, either.

Some more esoteric methods:

4) RenderDoc: It will launch Dolphin unlike 3DRipperDX, but it seems the Dolphin uses an older version of OpenGL, and I guess RenderDoc can't follow the emulator to its child context (Rebel Strike). Well, that's the best I understand it, at least.

5) GPA: Using a patched version of Intel's Graphic's Performance Analyzer to extract the scene as described at the following page:
http://dev.cra0kalo.com/?p=213
While this methodology DOES seem to work, and GPA can launch Dolphin, it also seems unable to follow Dolphin to its child context of Rebel Strike, and will not capture the scene or even show its GUI.

So... what should I do? How do people extract 3D scenes from newer versions of Dolphin...?

Dolphin 5.0 x64 and Ninja Ripper 1.5.0 x64 , works perfectly to export models

go here : https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1339877
all of your requests are here ....
Okay well I just downloaded the 5.0 x64 release candidate at:
https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/837...ee05a2100/

And I downloaded the latest Ninja Ripper from its website:
http://cgig.ru/ninjaripper/

I was pretty hopeful at first, because I realized the Ninja Ripper I had been using was very much out of date. The new Ninja Ripper said upon launch that it supported x64 games, and I launched the x64 version of Ninja Ripper with the RC Dolphin 5.0. Ninja Ripper then successfully created a rip directory and a log, but nothing else. I even ran it as an administrator and got nothing. The only thing in the rip directory is the log, and my computer doesn't seem like it's doing much of anything when I press the rip button.

As for the link, that's really cool, but it doesn't appear they have all the models I am looking for. I'll ask around there for advice on ripping from Rebel Strike, though...

if you have a log ...only
maybe Something wrong into your setting
remind, Ninja Ripper is for DirectX, if you use OpenGL .. it don't work

about the link, i'm sure you will find your request, because i have put them ....
i have spend 8 years for the Tie Hunter, to find a way .. only with the last Ninja Ripper version, i was able to export it

i have export several models from Rogue Leader 2 ,Rogue Squadron 3 , and models from XBOX SW Jedi Starfighter

after, better to speak about rip and export, in an other forum, because here it's only for emulation

ps: i have receive your mails on Facepunch .. Wink
