Hi!

I’m sitting on:

Code:
Laptop Lenovo ideapad Y580
Intel Core i7-3610QM (with turbo boost its about 3000mhz)
Nvidia Optimus with Intel HD 4000 and GeForce 660m
8Gb ddr3 memory
Windows 7 x64
344.75

And i’ve got some problem, im using latest version of your wonderful emulator and trying to play these three games:

Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil Zero
Donkey Kong Country Returns

Remake and Donkey run just perfect, 30 and 60 fps. But Zero plays like in slow motion, on 20 fps. I honestly don’t understand why it is so. Is it harder to emulate 2d graphics then 3d like in Donkey? And if yes, why i have normal gameplay in Remake?

I also don't see emulator using all my cpu power, its about 40% load on all cores...

Thx for info.
Dolphin only uses 2 cores so you'll never see 100% usage because it's simply not possible.

Are you using the latest dev build of Dolphin?

Also, see this thread to improve overall laptop performance with Dolphin:

Ye, i know bout this stuff on laptops, thx.

And about 2 cores, any plans on using more?
One core handles the CPU and the other the GPU before it gets sent to the actual GPU. The GC/Wii only had these two threads, and splitting them up would introduce slowdowns from having threads wait for other cores to finish, and would need a massive rewrite, and it would not be fun at all.

Ok, thx. And what about system requirements? 3ghz int enough?
The problem is that you have a mobile CPU, which doesn't always run at max speeds, and being only 3rd gen i-series, it's not as great as Haswell. Have you looked into using throttlestop to stay in max dual-core turbo?
Generally on modern CPUs it is but not in all cases.

You said you have ThrottleStop installed and turned on, correct?

Edit: That's funny KH, we were both thinking the same thing Wink
Ye, i've fixed all cores on 3000mhz via throttle stop.

Look,

That's on default maximum clock, 2300. 25 fps
And that's

On maximum, but still 25fps
It's running full speed. Look at the big 100%. It's a PAL game.
Well, that's strange cause from my p.o.w. its in slow motion...
