So I read that Brawl was fully playable with Nintendo WFC and I can connect just fine, the problem is I can't find any players, is the online just abandoned?
I'm playing with an NTSC copy even though I'm from EU because I'm only interested in playing with a friend, if that makes a difference.

We both also used the Gecko codes to unlock everything asides from subspace emissary, but I already tried deleting my save and disabling the cheats, which made me create a new friend code and it still didn't find anyone.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

What I'm currently using is: Operating System: Windows 7 64
Processor/CPU: i5 3500k
Video Card/GPU: AMD HD6950
Memory/RAM: 8 GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: Dolphin 4.0-95 x64
Chances are you'll just need to wait several minutes until you find people. Have you tried waiting any longer, yet?

Well I tried searching for a game at the same time as my friend and we just didn't find each other, but do the gecko codes being enabled on his game have anything to do with it?
Also, not sure if this means anything but here's what the log says when I'm searching for players:

Basically it says a lot of shit and I'm not sure it should.
Is this right?
It could just be that they're having server issues on their end. Can't connect atm either, but it doesn't seem like Nintendo is blocking Dolphin or something like that. MK Wii, for example, connects just fine. Test it on a real Wii.

Mine broke, hence why I'm on an emulator.
Anyone mind testing out whether their Brawl works online?
It depends of the hour, I live at Brazil, and during the night, when I play SSBB in Dolphin around 23h (GMT -4), the time spent searching for players is less than 30 seconds. However, if I try playing during the day, the search sometimes takes more than 10 minutes and I still don't find any player, so, maybe there aren't too much players playing SSBB at the time you tried...
same problem here
It's abit wierd yes, I tried searching a few times but can't find any players.

But I tried the "spectator" mode or what it is called and there I can find games other play very fast to bet money and spectate. But yes I don't think there are many online or we have to try at specifik times like Jhonn mentioned.
I'm using Dolphin version 4.0 and can connect to WFC on Brawl and play friend code battles fine. Seeking for players never seems to work. I tried using it on the actual wii console online, and it found players almost immediately, so it definitely isn't abandoned. Is there a specific development version I should try?

EDIT: Spectator mode isn't live, afaik. Pretty sure it just uses data from the battle to recreate what happened.
How'd you get past 86420? Did you have that error at all?
I can't play friend battles because every time I try, I get that.
