Hey, first post here! I love the Dolphin emulator, but for some reason, all of my games are getting slowdown. My specs, according to my research, are well above what is needed to run games and I should be able to obtain full speed in HD on many games.

My specs are:
Processor/CPU:Intel i7 3.3 Ghz w/ Turboboost
Video Card/GPU:NVIDIA GeForce 650M
Memory/RAM:12GB DDR3 RAM
Dolphin Revision Currently Using:3.5-367

I went to play Soul Calibur II tonight and even with low settings, I get an average FPS of 50. Dolphin is using my 650M (had problems with it using my integrated graphics card before) so that's not the issue. My current settings are the recommended settings (if it says unsure, leave ___, I'll go with that) and have tried many resolutions with no positive results. I can post screenshots if needed, but was thinking there might be some sort of easy fix. Thank you and greetings! I'd love to get into this community.

This is a good performance for this game

This is a good performance for this game
Intel i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz to 3.3GHz turboboost
My rig can run Battlefield 3 on max settings averaging 28 FPS.

Also I mis-typed, Soul Calibur II is running at 80% speed, which for a fighting game, pretty much renders it unplayable. I'll update now, that's a great idea I should try first.

Edit: Downloaded it, with the same settings, I get the same results.
Seriously do use a newer build, 3.5-367 is ~1000 builds behind and you got it from the wrong site. Here's the correct site: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

You can't compare PC games to emulated GC/Wii games. PC games are GPU dependent. Dolphin is more CPU dependent.

With your CPU it can be considered as a good performance. This game is pretty demanding
For Soul Calibur II , you have to use old Dolphin build such as Dolphin 5186
Framelimit ingame for that game in Dolphin 5186 is 30FPS max

You must enable safe texture cache : normal and right-click the game - properties - Use these settings

He can also use r6XXX and earliest r7XXX builds
That game work perfectly on r5186 without any issue (You have to disable Dual Core mode and run game with single core mode though)

Wow that works, thanks! Is this what you primarily use? I had no idea different builds give varying performances. Is there a place where there is recommended builds for games?
Also, the other game I want to play is F-Zero GX. This game I understand is resource-intensive but I think with my rig I should be able to get it to run better. For me, the FPS is all over the place. Some levels are around 80% while others dip into the 45% range!
Also in general, is there any way I can up my performance? Right now I'm using the 1334 build and using the recommended settings from http://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/settings/ to a T. Thank you all for the quick help, I spent a good amount of time trying to get it to run faster.

For only 3 games : SCII and Sengoku Basara 3 (which is a demanding game) and Sengoku Basara 3 Utage (demanding game too )
