Specs are as follows

i5 3570k @ 4.2GHz overclock
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB @ 1600MHz
Asus P8Z77 V-LK
Intel HD 4000 Graphics

(Soon to come - Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 Ghz Edition 2GB @ 1200MHz overclock)

I know the 7870 will obviously run these games perfectly, but for now, will my igpu be able to handle ATLEAST Wind Waker smoothly till I get my graphics card? I know my CPU is strong enough but will my gpu hold me back from smooth gameplay?

Maybe at 1x IR.

Buy a decent graphic card . For Example : EVGA GTX 650 (100$) , AMD 7850 , GTX 660
And overclock your i5 3570k @ 4.2->4.5GHz for demanding games

Even an i5 3570k @ 4.5GHz can't run the most demanding game - The Last Story full speed all the time . So you get the point
Windwaker is light-weight game . MY laptop can handle above 100% speed with 2.5x IR(1600x1320) , EFB copies to Ram , not sure about LLE but your CPU will handle LLE +Windwaker just fine

Would I need an i7 to run The Last Story full speed? Or is in a i5 3570k with a 7870 good enough. I don't play the game, just wondering as I watched some of the trailers and its seems interesting so I would probably give it a try at some point.

For the best audio experience , you should use LLE backend (you must dump 2 files dsp_coef.bin & dsp_rom.bin then put them in Dolphin folder : Sys\GC
You will take performance hit with LLE though

Note : Do not tick "Enable DTK music" & "DSP LLE on Thread"
