NaturalViolence has benchmarked The Wind Waker on his 3570K @ stock with the IGP.
According to his results, you should be able to play the game at fullspeed with 1x/2x, heck even 3x IR (but you'll experience slowdowns at times).
Quote:Would I need an i7 to run The Last Story full speed?
i7 has Hyper Threading - HT ( 4 cores 8 threads ) vs i5 no HT (4 cores 4 threads)
Dolphin is a dual core application and it does not support HT . So the answer is no
Either use old Dolphin build (which is faster and less accurate than latest build) such as Dolphin r6505 or overclock higher (Prefer 5.0GHz lol)
I am getting as low as 20 fps on i5 2400, so if cpu scaling is linear, it would take sandy bridge cpu at 4.8 Ghz to run it fullspeed.
So I guess i5 3570k at 4.5-4.6 should do it

But I guess 5 ghz is safe bet for cpu such as i5 2500k and for i5 3570k 4.7-4.8 Ghz

Even an i5 3570k @ 4.5GHz can't run the most demanding game

I guess he was talking about Zelda WW/TP/SS

You won't get a better performance with an i7. 3770k isn't better than 3570k.

With an overclocked 3570k you can't get full-speed in TLS (and in a few other games probably. I will try that soon Wink ) but the game is fully playable
4.5GHz is best bet . You will kill that chip if you push it higher than 4.8GHz

I'm cooling it with a hyper 212 plus.
You'll still kill it with voltage XD
Quote:hyper 212 plus.
CM Hyper Plus sucks ! It's a low end cooler
Hyper 212 Evo is the minimum requirement for 4.4GHz i5 3570k
It (evo) is amazing for it's price range, idk what you are talking about
The temp ! CM Hyper 212 Evo + i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz = 80 degree celsius (Prime95 full load)
With CM Hyper 212 Plus you can expect 90 degree celsius
