Just built a brand new PC, I was just wondering if this hardware will be able to play most GC/Wii games on good settings (1080p, 4xIR). The games I'm hoping to play are Zelda - Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, as well as Mario Kart Wii.

The new specs are as follows:
Intel Core i7 3770K @4.2GHz
16GB Corsair Dominator RAM @1866MHz
ASUS Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 x2 (SLI)
Windows 8 Release Preview x64

My last PC could barely handle some games and usually lagged like hell in games like Zelda or Mario Kart. It used an old AMD Phenom II 945 and a Radeon HD 5770. How big of an increase in performance should I expect?

Just FYI I did not build this just for Dolphin, it is used for graphic design, 3D modelling, etc...
That PC could eat mine alive if it wanted to. 4x IR should be no problem, LLE no problem. Throw in some AA and Per-Pixel Lighting too.

There are some issues with the 6xx cards not leaving idle state with Dolphin, but making the texcache safer can fix it from what I've heard.

Like heaven vs hell
The only thing to note is that SLI is currently not supported in Dolphin, so the 2nd 680 is useless for Dolphin at least. A single 680 will still make your old PC cry.

HEY A 7970 IS PRETTY GOOD TOO GUY

But he doesn't have a 7970.

I do agree, though.
They're supposed to have similar performance.

Why caps lock? Can you write normally pls?
Well sounds like I should copy back over my games from the old PC and play me some Mario Kart in full HD glory xD.
Sucks SLI isn't supported but meh, my old 5770 could handle some decent stuff so a GTX 680 should be no problem like everyone is saying.
