I am currently in the process of building a htpc that I would like to run dolphin on. Unfortunately the case that I would like only supports low profile cards.

I have an i5 2500k CPU and probably going to buy 8gb of DDR3 1600 ram.

Are there any low profile graphics cards that could run games like super smash bros melee animal crossing city folk super smash bros brawl or new super Mario bros?.

Thanks in advance.

Should be fine with no Anti-aliasing (or AA 2x) , Internal Resolution : 2x (720p) , Anisotropic Filter : 16x

So that card will be able to run the games that i listed at full speed?
I doubt a GT 430 will be able to handle 2x IR in most games, he'll probably have to settle with 1x or 1.5x.

Yes as long as you keep your settings low enough.

I found a better one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814131448

It has the strongest GPU of Newegg's low profile cards.

That card looks nice but i was planning on buying a card that was under 100 dollars. Is the first card listed the best card for under $100?
I'm afraid it is.
Uh, no, this will eat GT430 alive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814161387 for example and it's a bit under $100 (with rebate) to boot, the card looks short enough to fit htpc case.
But that's not a low profile card.
I never got the chance to ask before, but what do you guys call a "low profile" card?
As an expression, to my language low profile would translate to the same thing as discrete (I assume that from the expression "keep a low profile" we always see in movies Big Grin), but that doesn't make much sense to me...
