Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

So i'm on laptop with second genration i7 with 4 cores on 2000mhz and ati 6770 card. I see only 30% load on cpu and 50% on gpu but still dead space is playing like in slow motion. Why it is so?

where is the high end personal computer?
iam only seeing a low mobile computer with only 2ghz...
dolphin needs for wii games "3ghz intel i-series" power...
only cpu power mattes for emulation...

(smg/smg2 needs above 3.5ghz i-series intel...)

Then i must see 100% cpu load if it is a bottleneck here, and i see only 30%

Not really because you have more than 2 cores.

dolphin only uses 2 cores...

its hardcoded!

Which game(s) did you play?

Try checking if stuff like Dual Core and Idle Skipping are enabled.

If you have 4 cores dolphin will use ~50% of CPU

You could have a 5Ghz 2500k, and a GTX 580, and dolphin could still produce 20 fps if the game it's emulating has low compatibility, or is not set up properly. Make sure both are corrected before blaming the machine.

yeah im having the same issue on my alienware m15x. i get like 40-50% speed and 25-42fps
smash bros lags bad when more then 2 players, tales of symponia lags horrible, and luigis mansion lags bad too and thats on gamecube -_-

i have the i7 as well. cpu nor gpu even get hot, just laggy. homefully people start making emulators use quad core
