I've been browsing the forums and internet for about 2 days now trying to find a fix to my problem on Monster Hunter Tri. On multiple threads I see the suggestion of using Spellforce's builds of Dolphin (who's download links have expired). My problem with the r7528 is that partway through 9 out of 10 missions, I'll get a freeze and sound will keep repeating over and over again, and the cause of this is entirely unknown. This hasn't happened yet in the village. My problem with the version of r6505 I was told to get (with MH3, FifoBsy, and DKTOS patches) is that ingame I'm running at about 5-10 FPS and 25% speed. A fix for either of these problems would be nice, as I haven't had the patience to go through r6505 in super-slo-mo to see if it crashes like r7528.
My specs are as follows :

ATi Radeon HD 5750s x2 crossfired
4 gigs of DDR3 RAM
AMD Phenom II Quad Core 945 Processor clocked at 3.0 GHz
Windows 7 64bit

Does anybody know a solution?
My personal guess is that it might be the crossfire or the current Dolphin build. (believe me, I've tried around 10 Dolphin builds.)

Sorry it took me a minute to do, I was playing Shadow of the Colossus while I was waiting for someone to post and I got absorbed into the game. Tongue

I use that build and when I press start game it goes to a black screen and the FPS freezes at 0. EDIT : I fixed that problem. Now, my FPS is constantly at 5. Speed is 25% always, except when viewing cutscenes.
disable Progressive Scan
disable lock to thread

25% is strange

It was 25% on the build you gave me. I'm going to test out the changes you told me to use on the build I was using before. I'll edit this post with the results.
thats strange the build is working fine for me

On the build I was using originally, I did the two things you told me to do, I went through the first mission with no problem. I'll report back if there's a crash. If this is actually fixed, thanks in advance. Big Grin

EDIT: No, nevermind, I went on the second quest and it froze up for me again. I think there's a possibility that it happens randomly with inputs. The last crash happened when I tried to go into the supply box. This isn't the case most of the time. They seem to happen at completely random times.

You could also try lowering the anisotropic to x1 and lowering the full screen resolution to 1280x720.

I did that and it lasted a little longer before crashing again.
