Hi, this is my first post on these fourms.
I have a gaming rig with a Core i5-650 (3.2ghz dual core), radeon 5770 1GB, 8GB of ram and W7 Home Premium. No matter what settings I choose, all of the games i've tried run really slowly--in Super mario galaxy (the original), the best i've gotten is ~27FPS, and that was in windowed 640x480. I don't think my hardware's the problem, most other high-end games run fine. Any suggestions? I'm using r7485, Direct3d9, framelimit off, copy to texture and, besides that, all the default settings. Thanks.
P.S. I tried using "Disable Destination Alpha Pass" (as suggested at http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=2548), but that just made the game look worse and didn't help the FPS.

Thanks for the advice..are there any revisions that you'd suggest using? I'd like to try an old revision but I don't want to try one that's too old.

That helps a little bit. Is it possible to have it run in full speed even with a low FPS? I'd much rather have it be able to be played at full speed than have it have super-high-def quality.
