I can see that you have the green stuff outside the actual picture as well, I thought it was something on my end.

No fix for that. The game is originally in 4:3, so are the backgrounds. Codes let the game run in the 16:9 format, obviously something not meant to happen. Since the backgrounds are in 4:3 format, there are either two available options. Either stretch the background to 16:9 as well, but that will miss-align many of the objects such as doors. Or leave the background unstretched, which shows you the result in the screenshots. You had seen the previous option in earlier screenshots. In some area's, the background is large enough (such as the Town Market Square or the Lon Lon Ranch Stables) that it scrolls along you move, so the 4:3 format isn't an issue there, you just see more of the background at once. These larger backgrounds also wrap them self up nicely, ending where they started.
