Yeah, Ok. I can upload the next update with an "Optional" folder, containing the same folder structure for the original artwork icons. The original Kokiri Sword icons are stored there already. I should go through some of the icons I changed and add the original icons to this "Optional" folder too. If you have any more optional icons, just share them, I store them in the "Optional" folder, which will be included with my next update batch.
Nintendo Power Guide, those were the times, as well the SNES and Nintedo 64. Sadly that was a long time ago... Somehow I tended to be a collector much later. As a kid, you just are not careful with stuff and tend not to value the true collectable items. And well... Articles tends to get lost or destroyed over the years, especially if you decided to move.
EDIT1:
So... I have organised some optional (aka, alternative) textures for the upcomming update, which includes the original boots, shields, swords and well... icons that I updated. It is mostly stuff from masterotaku's original V0.7 update. It is just organised now, which should make it easier to oversee the texture replacements I upload.
Sorry for taking so long for the next update. The Ikana Graveyard graves (for all three nights) were massive to replace. Similar to my Smash Brothers 64 texture pack, a lot of textures got dumped multiple times. The textures are exactly the same, only dumped in different sizes. Luckely, for the most part of the game textures are dumped only once, which Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 also benefit from. The good news is that the Ikana Graveyard part is complete. So I am left with completing Sakon's Hideout, Ancient Castle of Ikana, Beneath the Well, The Water Cave, The Music Box House, The Secret Shrine and the interior of a few remaining houses (such as the ghost shop). Stone Tower was already ported as part of my latest update.
I will bump this thread with a new post as soon I am ready to upload my next update. Before I do so, I would like to dump the Razor Sword Icon, which hopefully should not take long. I just got to redo the introduction and the first three days and then skip straight to the second region with the use of some nifty Gecko Codes to obtain the bow early.
EDIT2:
While in the progress of trying to complete the Ikana Canyon region, I am also upscaling some textures. Expect some textures to have doubled their sizes (512x512 to 1024x1024 for example). After Ikana Canyon is complete, I will most likely move to another region. I am open request to port a particular region, so feel free to request. Every region has to ported eventually. You may even request for Ocarina of Time (which should be finished, but you might find some rough or incompleted parts). It is the same texture pack after all. I am not taking request for my other texture packs yet. One texture pack at a time . But you can expect a similar upscaling progress for Super Mario 64 when I am finished here. Super Smash Brothers 64 already upscaled a lot of textures due the nature of how textures are dumped in thay game.
EDIT3:
Just a heads-up. The whole Ikana Region is completly finished, except for Sakon's Hideout. I still intend to add Sakon's Hideout for this upcomming update, but for that I have to restart the three-day cycle again. All minimaps are ported, more enemies and characters of course related to the Ikana Region. Quite a few faulty textures have been fixed (which light and shadow effects). A few parts of the Southern Swamp have been ported (the bean salesman, a few faulty textures in the Deku Palace and the Witches Hut outside area). The Blacksmith area in the Snowhead region received some fixes too. Some ice textures have been fixed (yeah, a lot of fixes it seems).
So the Ikana Region includes: The Ancient Castle of Ikana, The Ghost Hut, The Graveyard and all three graves (for each night), The Secret Shrine, Beneath the Well, Tower Tower (already done with the last update), Stone Tower Temple (also done with the last update), two fairy fountains, the entrance area's to Ikana Canyon, the main area of Ikana Canyon, the Music Box house, the Cursed Water Cave and Sakon's Hideout (still on my list to do). There have also been added quite a few new icons and icon texts (along with replacing some icons in higher quality, which also affects Ocarina of Time).
EDIT4:
Ahh well... I really have to postpone the Razor Sword for now. As soon as every region is ported on the completed save file, I will have to redo a new save file and go through the first two dungeons. There isn't really much of another way around. Some leftovers parts are fiinished, such the Happy Mask Salesman and his tower. A few additional characters such as Darmani. The owl statue and the banker should be fixed. There are more missing textures added for obtaining the Deku and Goron Mask. The power keg is added. And... I should really list this in a changelog soon before I will forgot everything that will be added.
