Useless? emuguy would beg to differ. Yeah, no one likes feature-creep, but it'd only be another checkbox at the most, probably under the Interface tab in the Configure menu.
If you wanted to be even more low-key, just make it a command-line argument. That's what I always do when I hack my emulators. If it's not FLTK, I usually don't have the time to mess around with the GUI APIs anyway.

I don't know, looks like it should be good though. Try it, and if it doesn't work, you can always uninstall it and try something else.
