Changing the aspect ratio of the game has nothing to do with textures. You can't change the aspect ratio, unless if the game supports it or if you stretch/trim the picture, and stretching for that aspect ratio would make it unplayble.

AFAIK you can change the aspect ratio, without stretching or anything, but no objects (collectibles, enemies, even grass/bushes!) are displayed beyond the standard width. So you can only see the terrain, with nothing on it.

Hi guys,
Great texture pack. Been looking to play this game for a while. I have a problem though: I downloaded the pack as per instructions (i have SXJ01 version of iso). But for some reason, my game looks rather pix-elated and not up to the screenshots. Any thoughts as to why this is? If you would like to know specs or dolphin settings, let me know. I'm pretty sure my specs are substantiary. Thanks in advance! 02-15-2015, 11:38 AM
I'm done with the Skill Tree textures. I apologize for the delay, some of these textures were really tricky.
Tell me what you guys think! Should I remake the icons too? Download. 02-16-2015, 11:17 AM
Ohhhhh, I can't wait to check these out. I'm not going to be home until later, but I'll be loading them up the second I walk through the door.
Alright, criticism is welcome, except for some shadows. let's just say I messed up and some of them ended up a bit darker than they should, with no way of me fixing it without re-doing a lot
Edit: It seems some of the top parts don't quite line up perfectly. It's very hard to notice, but it's gonna drive me nuts if I don't fix it soon.
They look so good, great job! No worries about the delay, I've been taking a little break from texturing so I've been slow working on stuff but I'm still checking the forum everyday. I see what you mean about the alignment, the right bar is less noticeable then the left. The secret is all pixels must match, including shadows which can be a pain. If one has 14 rows of pixels for shadow and one has 13, and the alpha levels don't match up, it can even throw off the inner pixels! Or if the inner pixels are slightly different shades, it can do the same effect. When I fixed up the medium borders long ago, it took me many hours to figure out the issue was in the way the textures were being downscaled due to the slightest inaccuracies.
Edit: Oh forgot to say, I'm pretty good with manipulating stuff at a pixel level (thanks to a love for Mario Paint during my childhood), so if you want, and if these are to be your "final" versions, I can try to get them to line up for you. Also a picture of what I was going on about. Spoiler:
The strange thing is, I aligned them in Photoshop before attempting to do it in game to make sure they worked 100% together, and they did. I'm thinking I messed up with the last-minute changes to the shadows. And yes, feel free to fix them if you want to! Apart from the alignment fix, I wasn't thinking of editing anything else.

Yeah they look really nice, just need to be lined up. Bighead's done them before when I made some, I have faith.
But, yes. This looks perfect. I'm super excited! |
