Hello,
I've been playing X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse on Dolphin 5.0-21264 on my MacBook Air for a few months now.
At first, I was playing a .iso rom. As I progressed through the game, it would increasingly crash with an "invalid read [followed by a bunch of numbers and letters]" error. Eventually, as I got to a certain point in the game, I could only play for a few minutes before it crashed. I did some research online and tried switching to a different graphics backend (Vulcan, Metal, OpenGL) and I tried disabling the dual core, but nothing worked.
I eventually gave up and downloaded a new rom. This one was a .rvz file and it ran smoothly for a long time, however, when I got to a certain point in the game (slightly earlier than the previous time) it would repeatedly crash after a few minutes of gameplay. I tried the same graphics changes again, with no luck.
I wonder if the issue is not so much with the point in the game, but the amount of hours I have built-up playing it and the impact on storage. My MacBook has plenty of storage, however Dolphin is saying there is only 25MB free out of 157MB.
I'm not very knowledgeable about Macs or Dolphin so I would appreciate any help/advice. I read something about clearing the cache but couldn't figure out how to do this on Mac. I would prefer to play on PC but unfortunately I only have access to a Mac currently.
Thanks in advance!
