I've read a few threads about people asking how they can install and run both a wireless ps3 controller and a wiimote on their system at the same time. I'm playing a few different games like BF3 and dishonored and sometimes I just like using the ps3 controller over my keyboard. I also think if your using dolphin you really should be enjoying it with a real wiimote.
Anyway I wanted to write a quick post about what I did to get everything working and maybe get some tips on how to improve my setup. This guide assumes you already have a working wiimote and/or ps3 controller. You're also going to need two Bluetooth dongles, one for each controller.
I like doing clean installations of software especially when they may conflict so uninstall all your BT software like Toshiba stack, bluesol, motionjoy etc. You don't need to do this, it just makes things easier and if you're having any errors it should help you troubleshoot them.
Plug in your first BT dongle and install dolphin along with Toshiba stack or whatever you use, just get your wiimote working then make sure to test it in dolphin.
Next plug in your second BT dongle and install motionjoy. Connect your ps3 controller via usb then open the DS3 tool. Under the drive manager tab install the motionjoy drivers for both your controller and the second BT dongle. Make sure when installing that you only select the ID from the second dongle or you'll screw up Toshiba stack. Now, under the BluetoothPair tab, make sure you pair your controller then go ahead and unplug it from the usb cable. Press the PS button and test it by going to the profile tab, clicking enable then vibration test. You should feel it rumble.
So we got our wiimote working and motionjoy installed but for me even though my BT dongles were made by different manufacturers Toshiba stack and motionjoy conflict when both are enabled. My wiimote always connects but with motionjoy it won't respond in games. This may not happen for you, so go ahead and test it in a game. If it works your done, if not there's one more step. To get it going you'll need to temporarily disable Toshiba stack. You can do this by going into your control panel and under device manager right click your Bluetooth controller by Toshiba then disable. With this done go ahead and load motionjoy, connect to the ps3 controller then load whatever game and you should be good to go. To switch back to the wiimote go back to the control panel and enable the BT controller, you may need to restart your comp as well.
Hope this helps someone, if anyone has a better way and reads this post your setup.
