Well, a little overclock is recommended. Skyward Sword needs a little bit more CPU power than other games

with build 3.0-688 the statesave/load feature does not work correcly. It saves and loads, but after loading a savestate and then going into another room (I tested it with the market in the sky), the game hangs (blackscreen). this does NOT occur when you load a normal ingame Save and does not occur also with older revision 601.
anyone has this bug too?
System 1: AMD Phenom x4 965, 3.6 ghz, NVidia GTX260, 6gb DDR2 ram, Soundblaster Audigy, Windows XP Professional.
System 2(power Hackintosh): Pentium E5300 3.5 ghz, Nvidia 9800GT green, 4gb DDR3 ram, Soundblaster Live, MacOs 10.6.8 06-05-2012, 04:57 AM
savestates are not reliable, they seem to be buggy. Try to avoid them and save in-game.

I have been trying to run Skyward Sword and it's been working great, but with 1 problem.
When you first start up the game there is a button that is supposed to let you see an instructional video, but when I try to access it I my screen just goes black (not the whole screen, just the dolphin window) while my fps drops to 0 and vps climbs to 60. At first I figured it was no big deal, I went and played the game (still running like it's on the Wii) but then I got to the part were you have to jump off the big statue with the sailcloth. Once Link is pushed over the edge, I get a black screen. I am using 3.0-688 but I have tried 7718 and 3.0-77 (i think it was 3.0-77) I looked for r7729 but I couldn't find it. I have tried several configurations on the older versions and just about everything in 3.0-688. I hope I haven't overlooked any solutions. I think I saw a forum post around here with the same popblem, but I don't think it was answered. EDIT: I forgot to add my system specs (and I don't know how to make the ones in my profile appear) Windows 7 i3 2.13 Ghz Nvidia geforce 310m 4 GB RAM 06-13-2012, 09:34 AM
Thanks to whoever posted the 360 controller config. It really helped cuz I am now able to play the game.
OS: W7 x64

I'd love to know what this runs like on the new retina macbook pro? (through bootcamp of course, as it will be faster).
If anyone is lucky to get one and test it please report back. My current i-5 laptop is way fine for everyday use but just not up top the task of Wii emulation. So last weekend I actually went out and bought a second hand Wii and a copy of skyward sword. I have to say though that even though properly connected through component cables I don't know if I can stand the task of playing it all the way through in 480p, after seeing what its like with all the bells and whistles on in Dolphin.
