Then try changing the frame limit options. If it oscillates around 50%, it's more likely your computer and your settings. Anyway, with that CPU, you won't get it to run full-speed. I have a similar CPU and it's running around 70% in outside areas and 85-100% inside; I don't think you'll get it to work any better with yours. Do you have a 64 bit operating system? 02-09-2012, 07:59 AM

Yeah exactly, i mean at around 50% Thanks for the response hehe, I think i'll buy a wii anyways ^^ doesn't cost that much anyways :p btw, yes it's the 64bit 02-09-2012, 08:12 AM
Okay, then I suggest overclocking your CPU. That might help.
Otherwise, buying a Wii is surely a better option than playing it at 50% speed... 02-09-2012, 09:21 AM

Other than that the game runs and controls beautifully. The sound issues are probably related to HLE, it is probably better to use LLE if you want better sound and no desync, however LLE might be slower. Does anyone actually use LLE with Dolphin? I've tried to use it with multiple games, I usually just pass it off as "not an option" by default because I have never once been able to get full speed with LLE on.

I've only played SS on my Wii so far (too lazy to dump it), but I use LLE a lot in other games. You and I have the same CPU; I can get fullspeed in Tales of Symphonia, most of the time in Skies of Arcadia, and all the time in SSBM (helps with looping/dropping audio issues). Currently, the latest revision of Dolphin has a commit that says it should help with LLE speeds by reducing CPU usage. I'm going to try this out later tonight. 02-09-2012, 10:50 AM

LLE does work very bad on my system, it corrupts the sound totally (lots of stuttering etc.) But using XAudio2 as backend (with HLE) totally fixed sound problems

LLE only works fine if emulation is running @ 100%....

So many times that I have been humming the entire song. It's wasted too much of my time but I want to see it finished. A video would be nice but there's nothing on youtubes yet. Turn off the sound and swing the remote left to right at the same time as one of the audience. When there's sound you will tend to sway the remote at the same time as the music...it should just be left, right horizontally...no vertical movements. |
