@Those who are having the sensor bar problems. You can run Skyward Sword without the wireless sensor bar and candles and just use the following:
USB Bluetooth Adapter Wii Remote with Nunchuk and Motion Plus or Wii Remote with Motion Plus built in and Nunchuk (The one I use). I figured out something really cool today to get the Wii Remote with Wii Motion Plus to work in Dolphin emulator without a sensor bar. So that means you don't need to buy a wireless sensor bar and waste 4 AAA batteries every time or buy candles. Make sure you have the USB Bluetooth Device installed in your computer. First thing you do is download John Peterson's Emulated Wii Remote dlls and the Dolphin.exe. Next open that Dolphin.exe and go to Wiimote and for Wii Remote 1: Put Real Wiimote. Then open the battery case on the Wii Remote and click the red sync button so the blue lights flash on the Wii Remote. After that, hit Pair Up and let the USB Bluetooth Device install the Wii Remote Hardware to your computer and when it's done, click Refresh on the Dolphin Wii Remote Configuration. Now you will have the Wii Remote automatically plugged into Dolphin Emulator meaning as soon as you press A when Skyward Sword loads up, it will work but it would not show any hand cursor in the screen till you do the following. After you reach the screen where it says place the Wii Remote cursor in the middle of the screen and press A, that's where you need to do the following: For example, I have a ceiling fan in the living room where my computer is at, so first the computer is in the corner wall of the living room and then the ceiling fan is in the top middle of the living room, so it's kind of lined up a little. My ceiling fan has lightbulbs attached to it (http://earth911.com/wp-content/uploads/2...t-Bulb.jpg) like these the ones that shine bright yellow light. So at the screen where it says Move your hand cursor to the middle and press A, I pointed my Wii Remote at those lightbulbs above the ceiling and then point down a little to my monitor and it showed a hand cursor but can be little glitchy. So you need to quickly get the hand cursor to point exactly in the middle and press A quickly so you will go to the title screen. It will take few tries, but it's worth it because when I passed that screen, I was at the title screen after that. Press A once more to start your adventure. I turned off those ceiling lightbulbs when I was at the screen where it says Start a New Adventure and so on, and guess what? Yep, that's right, I was able to move my Wii Remote perfectly as the hand cursor was moving perfectly on the screen too without any glitch. So I didn't have to point up at the ceiling lightbulbs to move around, all I had to do was just point my Wii Remote to the monitor and it showed the cursor and I could move that freely to any direction I want and from wherever I want being nearby it. For example, I can sit near the monitor and aim my Wii Remote down so my arms would be relaxed on my laps and it will still detect every motion move I do. In Skyward Sword, I can move my sword freely by sitting down, standing up, very close to the monitor, far away from the monitor as long as it's facing front of the monitor and not too far away from it. But I'm guessing to those who don't have the source I used for the ceiling fan part, then you can easily try this: like get a reading lamp and put it near the monitor and try to see if a hand cursor shows on your monitor by moving your Wii Remote in various directions (That time the hand cursor will be glitchy, but as soon as it gets to the Start an Adventure menu, it won't be glitchy anymore + you can shut off those lights and play it freely without them.) Just do the steps I said if you don't want to use a wireless sensor bar or candles. So yeah, you need some sort of a light energy near the monitor to power the Wii Remote's cursor up to the monitor, but then I don't need to keep that light energy on forever as I can easily turn it off when I get to the Start an adventure screen. The thing about this is that every time I want to play Skyward Sword on my computer, I would have to do this little trick to show the hand cursor in order for the game to begin but like I said, it's worth it than getting a wireless sensor and keep spending money on 4x AAA batteries for that. Also I am using a LCD monitor, but to tell you the truth, it didn't work when I just pointed my Wii Remote at the LCD monitor, I had to do that trick to get it to work. So have fun and let me know if this works for you guys. 12-18-2011, 01:36 PM
Hello friends, I'm new here. I'm actually falling with a parachute on this topic and just wanted an opinion: my system is medium: 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 quad core processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1GB Radeon HD5450 64 bit graphics. Is this enough to run "sword skyward" with maximum graphics normally?

Depends what you mean by maximum graphics.
If you mean something like 3x IR and 4x AA then there's no way. I wouldn't doubt if you could play 1.5/2x IR and no AA, though. It would still look just fine, too. Speaking of performance, can anyone else confirm a performance boost after disabling the DOF effect? It really seems like I'm not losing as many FPS when Z-Targeting anymore. It could just be placebo, but who knows. By the way, for some reason AA totally bogs down the game for me. I can play 3x IR, 16x AF with no AA at 100% speed 90% of the time, but even 2x IR with 2x AA (DX11) brings me down to 70% speed... This is with Revision 235, I was getting 85-90% speed with 3x IR and 4x AA on an earlier revision, (not sure which one) but I like keeping myself on the latest Revision regardless since I'm sure it addresses other issues (and I don't mind playing without AA much anyway. It's nice, but I have to sit a ways away from the screen anyway since I'm using the Wiimote, it's hard to notice the difference).

Claiming to have the same version as the poster is the crucial nail in the coffin. My suspicions are correct and very legitimate. Do not underestimate me! 12-19-2011, 03:20 AM
Well I traded my RVL-CNT-01-TR Wiimote with Wii Motionplus inside with my parents for one of their older Wiimotes with the Wii Motionplus addon that is working with Dolphin and it works well. No more pain in the butt emulated motion controls.
However the emulated Motionplus controls aren't too bad as I managed to progress through the game to the final boss. Quote:How to get rid of the ugly DOF textures That works pretty well except for causing a small graphical glitch with the clouds in the sky, apparent when you go to the sky from the ground. I noticed this glitch when using the DX11, not sure if it does the same thing with DX9.
@zetario: THANKS!!!
Seriously change everythin ! I highly recommand admnis to put this in first page ^^ Dx9 dont work for me (got black screen, or still crapp background with these settin), but dx11 is almost 90% clean! (still a little strange shadow-animation-like on it, but not as much as before by far, appear mostly on building and some textures)

Anybody else having a problem that the end credits movie stutters a lot? (like, 20 FPS, where the game itself was getting 30 no problem)
edit: and a black screen when trying to start Hero mode - after the first 2 cutscenes (tried with skipping and without skipping, d3d9 and 11). Just sits there and has FPS 0 - VPS 60 edit2: weird, I just tried 3.0-235 and it started hero mode fine.... Dunno what happened, if I figure it out I'll edit again |
