Hi Skid,
I still have random crashes with D3D11 using HLE or LLE (with or without "on thread option"). I must correct my configuration: I have an old ati 5750 Hd card. 04-25-2013, 03:43 AM
Sorry Skid,
it seems that i get random crash with d3d11 with other games (not only the last story). That is too bad because I noticed that d3d11 was faster and without micro stutter on my system. I had D3D9 by default... 04-25-2013, 09:21 AM
Ah ok, do you get random crashes in the Last Story with D3D9 using the latest development revision and DSP LLE?

Actually, it's not a random crash.
A particular event or an "element" makes the game crash with DX11/OpenGL. For instance in the beginning of the game, once I hit the forest beast, dolphin crashes. This issue is not associated with HLE or LLE. I tryed different configurations and I cannot hit the beast without a reproducible crash. I get this exception info: (by the way I posted in the forum in "support", because it happens in another game: i.e. DK) Unhandled Exception Code: 0xC0000005 Call stack info: Dolphin!0x0159912D : ? DX9 is not affected by this issue (but runs slower on my configuration). I can try to see if DX11 works on previous releases and when this issue was introduced. 04-27-2013, 03:32 AM
I hate to ask this but, can someone who has gotten the game to work correctly post their settings/emulator version?
I'm trying to find a way to get the game to work and so far, to no avail. 04-27-2013, 03:46 AM
Hi Skid,
The releases after 3.5-1211 are affected by this bug. On my configuration, 1211 is working using DX11. I assume 1222 introduced a bug in DX11. 04-27-2013, 04:54 AM
On a whim i decided to enable idle skipping and disable accurate vbeam emulation/vbeam speed hack, the freezing problem for me seems to be caused by accurate vbeam emulation, so if your having freezing problems try disabling vbeam emulation/speedhack.
My pc seems strong enough to run the game without it so, yeah. 04-27-2013, 09:10 AM

To export the save, right click the TLS icon in the game list and select "Export Wii Save (experimental)". Zip the file and attach the save in the issue. Dolphin 3.5-1222 is the "primitive-restart" merge. 04-27-2013, 03:18 PM
(This post was last modified: 04-27-2013, 03:32 PM by Tatsuya1221.)
After getting to lazulis city, i'm starting to get small frame drops, strangly enough, it doesn't seem to matter if the vbeam speedhack is enabled or not, the fps drops the same amount no matter if it's enabled or not, the only difference is that there isn't any sound hiccups with it enabled (though this may be due to disabling something else) the emulator also says it is running at 100% speed, but it's pretty obvious it isn't, as it shows the FPS drops, either way vbeam seems to cause random freezes/hanging in all frontends for me (at least in 3.5 1282).
That said, as far as i know, my system should be more than capable of playing the game at a constant 30 FPS with some speedhacks enabled, and as i've been trying for hours to figure out what i'm doing wrong,as such i have to reinstate my request for someone who has played and beaten the game (or at least gotten far enough into it) to post their build number and settings so that i can try and play the game as well as diagnose if the problems i'm having are on my end or not, outside of a dedicated sound card, i cannot find anything hardware related that is uncommon in my build, and i have seen people with weaker systems run the game at 30 fps constant, so this seems to be software related either with the emulator, or my system, thus this would help me diagnose which. Thank you for any help given, and i apologize for being such a nuisance. |
