Enjoy!
Hi, how far back do you need to go in terms of revision? I just stating using Dolphin and my oldest revision is 2731. Is that old enough?
I'm not sure why but every time I run a working game in debugger mode i just get a black screen. Then i run the game w/o the debugger and it's fine. Am I not doing something?
Thx!!

I Found that if you check the EFB COPY to Copy EFB to System RAM , it fixes

I wonder why noone mentioned it before, but Brawl always hangs here:
As soon as you've chosen your Characters, Dolphin crashes with a typical gay windows error. Anyway, when you had Dual Core turned on in older rev's, you may remember Dolphin crashed all the time. Since a few weeks or something these errors entirely disappered! Also Dolphin got incredibly fast in that time. This is not a support question, but more on an upgrade inquiry.
Well, to preface this, my little brother has a wii, and will be taking it to college so no wii for me. I have Brawl and other wii games so I made isos of them and got dolphin. On my system, ------- AMD Opteron Dual Core 285 @ 3.01Ghz + 8800GT + 3GB ram 1T------- Brawl gets around 45 fps running at 1080p with AA and AF maxed out in a 2 player match (give or take 10fps depending on the stage) So i wonder what speeds people are getting with more powerful cpus (as mine is very out of date). And the reason why I'm wondering is because I'm thinking about upgrading my system solely to play wii on it. I can't bring myself to drop 250 on yet another wii, and a know with 350 i can get a killer cpu+ mobo combo. Especially since a cpu upgrade is a fact of life, it would happen sooner or later anyway. So is it worth it? Do faster CPUs get around 100fps on 2 player matches? Its really important to me because I dont want to get a phenom XII 255 just to learn that Dolphin does not scale well. Any input is greatly appreciated 05-06-2009, 03:58 AM

I think your system is still powerful enough, I doubt a better CPU would increase the fps very much. Because I have a Dual Core @ 2.80 GHz and I also get around 45 fps at a higher resolution than 1080p with all the enhancements. At this point I guess its more about optimizing Dolphin to get the extra fps than tuning the system. But thats just a guess. Furthermore Dolphin only uses Dual Core, not Quad Core, at least at the moment. |
