hi everybody! i just discover this amazing project
i tryed to play this game but it's really slow... (20-30 fps) playing on a q6600 not oc, 4gb, hd6770. is it impossible to play with this config? thanks 11-29-2011, 10:59 PM

Whenever I've tested I am always able to pass those parts without the game black screening. If you have DSP-LLE on thread enabled, disable it because it doesn't work so well with the Zelda and Mario games. 11-30-2011, 12:28 AM
That means that you either didn't dump your dsp roms from your Wii or that you have a bad/incomplete dump. The dsp_rom.bin and dsp_coef.bin should be 8KB (8,192 bytes) and 4KB (4,096 bytes) respectively and go in /Sys/GC after they are dumped.

I had to play on LLE interpreter (because on LLE recompiler the game gets black screen at the beginning and doesn't start) and the game was slow as hell (4-5 fps), but it worked and now I can go to the next world. Thank you very much. Is it possible to speed up the game on this LLE interpreter somehow? 11-30-2011, 01:25 AM

My biggest concern is why you get black screens at all with regular DSP LLE, if dumped correctly it shouldn't be any problems at all. 11-30-2011, 04:12 AM

Yea, I'm also suprised by that. On regular LLE I'm getting only yellow letters at the top, which appears always when the game starts, but it doesn't go further, the letters appear on black screen. However the game works on interpreter, but very slowly. armato - try to set it on OpenGL, frameskip 3, and try a great program Game Booster - it gave me huge speedup, about 20% more to speed. And remember about few things - the game speeds up after a while, at the beginning it's a little slower, but it gets better after few minutes. Also, when you will turn on frameskipping, the fps counter will get very low - don't look at that, because it will show false numbers. Also, combining Direct3D9 with frameskip 3 results in laggy game, but with OpenGL the game is smooth. Bigger frameskip = better speed, but more lags, I think that 3 is the best value for OpenGL. In Game Booster tick everything, it will turn off everything on your computer, except emulator. You can restore default values by pressing alt+ctrl+R. I know that it changes all the time, so I would like to ask, which version of Dolphin is the best for SMG2 for now? I'm playing on r7128 and it works quite good, but it's far away from perfection. On the newest one, 3.0, it works a little worse. This game is so good, it reminds me of Rayman and Little Big Adventure 11-30-2011, 05:16 PM
