OK that SMG revision seems to have helped. I'm now getting between 80-100% fullspeed in the game, if I turn the resolution down to 1620x1200 with no AA, which is still pretty stunning. And no crashes anywhere yet - oh except it lost connection with the wiimote just now so I had to reset it. Otherwise it's nearly flawless.

Also, is your builds numeration independant of the"official" numerations? Because your previous SMG build was r43 I think, and now is r230. mine 230 can be considered 5883 r43 was arround 5643. btw shadercache folder should be cleared, updating different revisions in same folder sometimes couse corrupt graphic,so simply clear shadercache folder. @jasong if u lost wiimote conection alt+f5 is reconnect ,there should be no need to reset dolphin. yes CPU EFB access is essential in this game in order to pull stars.

ok now please if you could assist - how to correctly copy my Wii SMG2 savedata to Dolphin? I know I should do all this reading myself but I'm sure it's quite simple. I have it in a folder called private -> wii -> title -> SB4E -> data.bin.

right click on game image and choose open wii save folder, when folder opens just "COPY" all files in there ,then open different emu revision where u wanna copy files to and do the same but this time use "PASTE" and that's it.

This is pretty important, r5907 implemented configurable FIFO watermark values.
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/sou...ail?r=5907 Try playing with the setting, and seeing if SMG2 gets better or worse. 07-20-2010, 10:35 AM

@IcemanSR: tried your r230. Results: well, I only tested repeating the first 2 stars and playing just a little bit. Sometimes there was a "Cleared code chache", but there were no crashes and I played for near an hour. I hope that was enough time to test and conclude there are no crashes at least in 90 min of gameplay... Can I ask you how did you handle the code regarding these crashes? It would be good for learning reasons (although I'm newbie).
But also, I had to disable CPU EFB access because when enabled error "Unable to stretch data to buffer" pops out and doesn't even let the game start (seems to happen in recent builds, but it doesn't happen in rev 5643), so I only tested because pointing star bits is a really required game function. But man... oohh, what undeserved framerates, 60% to even 100% with my CPU, I wanted to force me to cry (sarcasm). I will really miss those values............ So I want to ask, what do you think that "Unable to stretch data to buffer" error can be? Is there a way to bypass it? Also, assuming it was done in rev 230, how many fps are typically lost when enabled CPU EFB access? Do you think it's or it will be possible to do something about this? Now after trying with rev 230 I don't feel like I want to go back to rev 5643. @Mightyfc: assuming this 5919 is almost same as 5907, what settings worked for you? (still playing with IcemanSR's rev 230...). 07-21-2010, 12:03 AM
It has perfect sound and practically flawless graphics. I've noticed a few oddities like the eyes of the spaceship not having any textures, but overall it's nearly a perfect experience. Just gotta watch out for glitches.
