Thanks for the replies, but it didnt help... What I dont get, is that it shows 200% speed and I thought, 100% would be 60fps (or a bit less), so 200% should be really playable. But it isnt.

Maybe anyone, who has the game running smoothly, could post his system specs and settings. Would be really nice.

didn't you say in your configuration EFB copy is set to RAM? try setting it to Texture.

I tried everyting. EFB to texture, framelimit to 60 or off, nothing happened. For me it looks like, the fps are locked. Speed varies between 150 and 200%, but fps never goes higher than 29. I think the game doesnt run so slow because of my computer. But ive tried every possibilities with the settings, everything remains the same. EFB to ram, idle skipping/dual core off, slows the game down though (of course).
So... is 30 FPS and 60 VPS normal?
The opening scene (where bowser bombs the town) is 30 FPS/60 VPS and it seems to be running at half speed. The cut-scenes jump to 60 FPS/60 VPS and run like normal. The first tutorial "planet" was also at 60 FPS/60 VPS and ran extemely well, but the "level selection" area runs at 30 FPS/60 VPS. The framerate also doesn't vary too much. When it's at 30 FPS it NEVER goes above that (or below) and the same for 60 FPS. EDIT: Here's my system: C2D E8400 @ 4.0 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Win7 x64, GTX 285. |
