Wii Sports Resort Can't Dive out of Plane

I do apologize for the large amount of posts but I do seem to be running into many problems which aren't documented on Google.

I am using bluetooth passthrough for my controller which means that I can't press the dive button in the opening scene (no sensor bar either).

I tried using an emulated wiimote but I get a "disconnect the extension controller from the Wii motionplus controller" message which I can't seem to bypass.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

If you want to do it with a real Wii Remote and Bluetooth passthrough, you need a sensor bar.

With an emulated Wii Remote, there is an "Extension" dropdown in the first tab of the controller settings. Set it to None.

Thanks. I was looking everywhere in the settings for a place to disable it. Must have missed it.
