Hello,
I am trying to do a Netplay session (Traversal Server Connection, tried different buffers between 5 and 16 with just a little bit of improvement in frames per second) with a friend of mine playing the Wii game Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
-We are both running Dolphin 5.0-18498.
-I am using a Wii Remote with Motion Plus inside, and he is using one of the original Wii Remotes without motion plus.
-I've got the Mayflash Dolphinbar for my PC, and he is using his Wii sensor bar(plugged into his Wii and on top of his monitor; both of our sensor bars are on top of our monitors, and our settings reflect top) and utilizing the bluetooth in his pc to connect his Wii Remote to.
When we play the game by ourselves, the motion controls work properly. When we do a Netplay and get to the game menu to start, our pointers get stuck moving towards the right or the left side of the screen. For the most part we weren't having issues with the pointer moving up and down, although sometimes the pointer would move to the bottom left, or the bottom right corner. By turning the Wii Remote to the opposite direction of where the pointer was (and pointed past where the sensor bar is located) we could temporarily move the pointer out of the corner until a couple seconds later when the pointer would go back to where it was (in the corner). Obviously without the proper pointer tracking, the game is effectively unplayable as we would have to "fight" the controls. We have tried tinkering around with having our Wii Remotes 1 and 2 as Real(when launching Netplay it changed to Emulated) and Emulated, loading the default profile for the Wii Remotes, making custom profiles(I even tried checking/unchecking the attach motionplus setting for him since his controller doesn't have motion plus) by changing the name of the default profile for each of us, and saving them (as the host I sent him the profiles I saved and we made sure they were in the Wiimote profile folder in Dolphin). I have made sure that when assigning the controller ports in Netplay that the correct Wii Remote is assigned to each of us, and we each had the Emulated Wii Remotes as 1 for me(host) and 2 for him on both of our Dolphin emulators. We even had the same issues when trying to have him host as well. Is there something that I am missing? I'm having a hard time understanding how the motion works perfectly for both of us when doing solo play, but it doesn't track well at all on Netplay. I've attached some photos of the controller settings for you to see if there is a different device I need to set, or setting I need to change along with photo examples of what the pointer looks like solo play (centered), and Netplay (off-centered).
Thank you in advance to anyone who tries to help! (edit: I'm not seeing my attachments on the post even though I added and inserted them to the post)
