Just keep on using OGL. To be honest, there is almost no speedup with Vulkan compared to the nvidia OGL driver. Especially with our slow arm JIT.

Depends on the game. New Super Mario Brows is running full speed, but most games won't.
Just an update (good news)! The Nvidia shield update 5.0 fixes dolphins vulkan problems. All my games are working with the new update and vulkan. Also, they seemed to have updated opengl as well, they are at least using opengl 3.1, possibly even a newer version than that. Lastly, it is running android 7.0 nougat, and I like the new layout. The controllers got a nice update as well, although I'm not a fan of the nvidia games app, the hub was better in my opinion.
Edit: more bad news, gamestream is broken I cant even start streaming games, then again its always buggy, so that's not news.
Oop,wasted my time asking on Nvidia's forums, thanks for the answer of it actually working.
I didn't doubt SonicAdvance1's response,I just don't trust the reliability of OTA updates despite never running into major issues so far aside from not taking the 3.3 update. Edit: Updated and latest master build of Dolphin works great via SSBM but it showed a crash error after exiting the game though it still got the screenshot for the thumbnail to update. The only thing that would need to be fixed (at least for those of us who have it running) is that random error kicking you out of the app.

I also updated my Nvidia Shield Android TV (Pro version) to the new 5.0.2 update. For me, using the Vulcan backend crashes Dolphin almost immediately. Tried a couple of games, such as Mario Cart Double Dash. Works just fine with the Opengl backend though so I guess I'll stick with that for now. 01-29-2017, 11:39 AM

I sometimes run into the same crash issue upon selecting a game as well, starting a game would immediately crash one time, then work fine the next, and this happened before the OTA 5.0.2 upgrade when I was on the 3.2 version.

What coding sorcery did you guys do with Vulkan and android? Its running xenoblade at over 20fps and the last story as well. Great job! Maybe I'll be able to play them full speed on my nvidia shield in my lifetime. Keep up the great work you coding gods!
