Am interested in getting a MAC to run Dolphin. Being a MAC-newbie, is there a wiki/advice page or experienced users who have successfully setup & ran Dolphin under MAC? Things like setup, configuration, and also hardware recommended requirements, etc. Will Dolphin run "okay" on a MAC MINI? What about controller compatibilities, etc?

For the same money you could have gotten a pc that would run dolphin acceptable. But no.... 07-12-2013, 12:59 AM
Dolphin runs well on Mac OSX.
I finished Xenoblade Chronicles on Mac OSX, and yes the game ran full speed.

If you want to run Dolphin on a Mac, you'll need something better than a Mac Mini. The specs are too low for Dolphin to adequately run well. Additionally, that little box will get very hot very fast.
There may be some other common pitfalls you'll want to avoid. Our resident OS X user pauldacheez might be able to fill you in. 07-13-2013, 01:30 AM
thanks guys for the insight... yes... currently I don't have a workable computer (just ipad & iphone)... and been attracted to ipad/iphone development, hence the potential of getting a mac mini... due to frugal living and budget...
but yeah... I think cost effective would be to wait & save for a budget £500 gaming PC rig... then can emulate ALL 07-13-2013, 06:52 AM
You could build a cheap PC that is Mac compatible if you wanna do iOS development.

I'd advise building a Hackintosh as well if you want Dolphin to run well without paying a fuckton for a decent Mac. Every damned Mac with a decent CPU/GPU seems to be at least twice or thrice that £500 figure. :\
